Giant robots are cool, so. What's your favorite?

What weapon loadouts do you like? What are your mech piloting tactics? Can be from any game you like.
Missionforce Cyberstorm Juggernaut with a 280mm ATX gun and plasma mortar, call it the "Recycler" if you will because anything it encounters will turn into soda can material.

I think the five lions which form Voltron are one of the best configurations.

I'm going to go with the Type 4 mech from Saga Frontier. You get a powerful laser attack (that becomes incredibly strong once you get Magnify) as well as a MediPack which allows you to heal
non-mech allies (although the healing amount is reduced if the target has DeathSynthesis). Also, it is nice to have a robot who does not learn PluralSlash (which is powerful but honestly rather boring). Magnify is less common and actually stronger (even if it does have disadvantages) and you can get extra uses by equipping more cannons.

As a side note, I like having characters in RPGs who follow different growth rules (in Saga Frontier, mechs do not gain stats from combat, but instead get their stats from equipment).
From the battletech series, I've always like the Fafnir which was the only mech that I can remember could wield 2 heavy gauss cannons at once. In the lower weight range, I've always been a fan of the Bushwacker.

I'm partial to the MkII Monster 3 seater artillery destroid from the Macross series. Sure, if anybody comes in close range of you, you're dead meat since that beast manoeuer like an anvil, but having 4 400mm nuclear howitzers to deal with them BEFORE they come close has a certain appeal :)

I'm not sufficiently enough into that lore to drop model names, but, as a whole, I like mechs designs to not mimick humans, and, if possible, avoid animals. So, if I may say, it's sort of

AT-ST > AT-AT > Mazinger.

Typically, this is a model of 'walker' I can get behind.
I'm impressed with the giant robot-ish-ness in this thread, good choices.

I like how Voltron is made up out of smaller lion mechs. The MKII Monster Artillery Destroid is very impressive.
loki/ hellbringer

and raven i guess. for mechcommanders anyway.

for MW4:Mercs, before fan mods, see attached.

i guess i liked the faster mechs, and prefer putting as much armor on them as possible. didn't play online much, so i usually fit them for missions. one of them will be missile support, the rest of 'em will be a mix of rapidfire and hardhitting weapons, mostly a variety of lasers.

Chicken Walkers, I think they where called in Mechwarrior.

Me favourite mech has to be the Clan Varient of the Nova

One that I can safely eject from. I'm surprised to see that someone else here remembers MissionForce Cyberstorm. Rad beams were killer.
No idea of a favorite chassis. Depends whether the mission needs speed, or holding your ground fighting against lots of powerful enemies.

Energy weapons preferred so that I don't run out of ammo in the heat of the battle. Special cases if something needs to be destroyed as fast as possible, then maybe rockets and whatnot.

(I guess I am mainly thinking of Mechwarrior 2, MW2: Mercs, Heavy Gear and Shattered Steel.)
Sucker for late UC original storyline Gundams so going for RX-93-v2 Hi-Nu Gundam. =p
Timber Wolf aka Mad Cat with alt. config. A ( long range combat )

Phoenix Hawk LAM
