I apologize for my sorry attempt at this; I find this type of thing incredibly hard.

Arrr now Matey, let's have none of that. Ye be a part of the Brethren true, even if ye be part fish. :p If ye did not qualify I would have prompted ye to up yer challenge as I did a couple others. It twas just the winds of fate didna blow yer way this time.

(In plain speak - if you had not qualified I would have asked you to edit your post. You did just fine, it was simply that random.org didn't fall your way this time.)
Let's we have a clap of thunder for BJGamer
Let's be thanking yer bjgamer kindly fer Patrician 3!
Fortune smiles on the bold. The winds o' fate brought a map fer Sea Dogs: Carribean Tales to me ship.
My gratitude and thanks t' BJGamer, the greatest Cap'n what e'er sailed the seven seas. Ye shall have a hearty cheer an' a round o' rum.

An' to the other scurvy dogs what found precious booty, I tip me hat to ye.
Thank ye bjgamer for Port Royale and congratulations to the others winners!
congratz to winners
Avast! Thank ye Capt'n bjgamer fer th' booty and congrats to th' lucky mateys!

Arrrr!

Let's fire a salvo fer the booty BJGamer gave us!
Raise our mugs of Grog on yer health!
Great plunderaway and thanks fer Sea Dogs: City of Abandoned Ships. Time to sink some galleons!
Ye all be most welcome, me Hearties! To those whom the winds of fate favored, enjoy yer Booty! To those who the winds were not kind this year, better luck next time and I still heartily thank ye for joining in! I hope ye had some fun. :)

Now time for some plain English. It seems several seadogs (entrants) found it harder this year than last. I am sorry if it was difficult. It was not intended to be. So what I can do to make it easier and more fun for everyone?

All the challenge is asking is:
1) for an entrant to pick a pirate sounding name for the poster above them, and
2) to write a small story or verse about that poster as a pirate; or to post a joke about pirates; or to use the insult generator link at the bottom of the first post and copy a pirate sounding insult to the thread in a friendly way.

If someone wants to put in a few Yarrs, Arrrs or Mateys, all the better. ;) It is simply supposed to be in fun and to be humorous, not difficult - so I am trying to think of how to make it better.
Thank you Bjgamer for having this event and for your kind words!

Congratulations to all the winners!

Ahoy there capt'n 'gamer!

The names' sailor Larrrkar.
Reporting me findings from the horizon:

It seems like this marked(bolded) ship of yours is sailing on different waters.

Now fer the Pirate's Challenge:
For fun - Think up a pirate name and write a little pirate themed ditty (story, song, tall tale or joke) about the rapscallion posting above you. Has that scurvy scoundrel perhaps stolen yer treasure, plundered yer grog, swooned the governor's beauties or escaped (or not) the hangman's noose (or that infernal cursed monkey)? […]
My understanding is that any story/song/joke/pirate-insult should be aimed (hello there cannon ball) towards that scoundrel before you.

Ye don't want messin' with the wrong capt'n y'know?
Else yer be goin' straight to Davy Jones’ Locker.

------------------------------------------
Serious mode On:
I'm not saying that people are scared of ticking one another. (the spirit was about messing around, having fun afterall)
More like uncomfortable perhaps?
I mean, if it was about you or anyone that is not specicfic — you're more likely to go out without any reservations.

Anyway, beyond those, what I really want to point out, is that — you may have phrased the OP a bit different from what you intended.
Thank ye very much fer this contest, Quartermaster Bjgamer !
Your links helped me a lot on th' path t' th' true swashbuckler spirit !
May th' se'en seas be full o' big catches, bountiful booty, fame an' glory, Arrrr !
That be a nice giveaway.

---

I would also like t' drop a keg in th' sea wi' a message in 't :

If some matey wi' some musical skill has waaaaaaaay too much time t' kill on his hands (really), I would love t' be seein' what me wee song here would sound on a nice melody t' sin' in a tavern wi' a glass o' GrOG in one hand, but that may be too much t' ask.
(Don't unless you REALLY have nothing better to do.)
