I have Sonic 2006 on my Xbox 360 (bought of course) and I want to play it on PC. Since Sonic P-06 is just a series of demos just now, I had resorted back in 2018 or so to getting an iso copy and running it via a build of Xenia that allows for language switching so I can play the Japanese version. (Xenia 1.05 ML Release to be exact) This is just for the story mode. If it's nothing but gameplay (improved at that, despite the LOS mod I use on my Xenia copy), that's what P-06 demo 3.5 is for.
This worked fine on my old MSI laptop but since I upgraded to a new one, the only way to run it is to open the Sonic 06 iso from Windows Explorer after setting it's file extension to be run by Xenia. If I open Xenia via the actual executable and choose File - Open like I always did, it now freezes the whole emulator and it doesn't respond.
The workaround for this I mentioned above isn't ideal however, so is there a way to make Xenia stop doing that? My machine processor & graphics card are/were:
Old machine: IntelCore i7 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX
New Machine: AMD Ryzen 5 600 6-Core Processor with 3.59 GHz and NVIDIA GefForce RTX 2060
The actual CPU shouldn't be the issue, as when my old laptop's graphics card failed due to its age, I couldn't even launch Xenia at all.
