Pheace: Ow good lord...

Grats, you figured out it's a small spinoff game (and have some sort of political dislike with the concept)
avatar
Orkhepaj: But that's what it is. A forced political agenda into a game that doesn't need it.
Sorry, I can't agree with that. The very idea of police force that investigates both humans, aliens and hybrids alike and has to deal with public unrest goes against multiculturalism and other BS SJW preach.

Unless the end reveal some sort of "it's all Trump's fault" message, the game is more like anti-SJW.

Gave it a try and i do enjoy the perspective and the continuation of the story line ... it kinda walks in line with watching the new ghost in the shell series... that said it is a bit weird to see all the xcoms on gog and this one left out so far

battles are a bit boring but for 10 euro's i'm not expecting what xcom 2 brought to the table

If you look at Steam rewiews, the game collects and send so much data before you even have the option to decline the eula. This is a no go. I call that criminal.
I will not buy this crap or XCOM 3 for that matter. I am done with AAA devs and publishers that do shady shit like this.

DO NOT BUY, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS!!!
Part of EULA:

If you do not want your information used or shared in this manner, then you should not use the Software.

For the purposes all data privacy issues, including the collection, use, disclosure, and transfer of your personal information and other information, the Privacy Policy located at http://www.take2games.com/privacy, as amended from time to time, takes precedence over any other statement in this Agreement."

Civ VI even had a "Red Shell spyware" implemented in 2018, and was later removed because of so many complaints. This devs and publisher are not to be trusted, even less supported.

They will collect and sell your data, even tho they make more than enough money with so many games and DLC.

It's up to you if you want to support such devs and publisher!!

[edited to change Civ IV to Civ VI] sorry about that. :|

Oh good to know, though they are not allowed to hide something like this into eula.
I won't support such behaviour.
:( I wanted to get Bioshock collection but it looks like it is from the same company, does that have malware too?

I honestly don't know. I don't own any Bioshock game, and therefor can't tell for sure.

How can you test them?

I don't think you can. Information about it could be in the EULA tho.

Once game is installed(that has a spyware), the spyware could be found in the Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program. And then removed from your computer by uninstalling it.

That's the way I found and removed "Red Shell" spyware.

But the way I look at it, if a set company is doing such things(adding spywares to their games) in the first place, even if they removed the spyware afterwards because of complains, who knows what they will/may add next/in the future....

...I just rather skip on such games altogether.

The future will be one without to much privacy anymore, it won't be for long untill those predictive calculations can zoom in on you with 85% accuracy based on how long at a certain item.

Or game on a exclusive machine, not connected too, why by means of portable hard drive or equilavent gaming can be commenced without hazards

Yeah, that's why I don't even buy games on Steam anymore. Steam itself is a spyware in a sense. And you are required to login once every two weeks, if I remember correctly.

That's why GOG is the way with their installers. Today I still use Galaxy to install and play games, but eventually I plan on going completely offline while gaming.

It's fine in my case, since I don't really play coop or MP games.

lol, what year is this?
It's decent.

Froom the motto "Diversis Viribus". Term "diversity" was used in the media as politically correct replacement for "no white men allowed" so long, that many people developed allergy to the every mentioning of the word.

Pretty common for people with that mindset to pile onto games that trigger them these days. They'll move on to the next game soon enough :)

The game's fun. Not perfect, but definitely worth 10 bucks. That said, it needs some bugfixes, there's some crashing issues with reinforcements atm and a potential equipment bug.
