they want you to try the service and after that stay in their platform.
I will not fall for this kind of shit.
full price 10€ is not a good price for renting any game.
I paid lot's of games less than 10€ and I was able to play for months sometimes (example: I paid 8€ for Dragon Age Origins and I was able to play for multiple months). Also when I buy I'm able to decide what game I want to play, with something like subscription I need to play what they offer. Finally they can remove a game I'm playing during subscription.
Rent games just make no sense at all not even for the "lure you into the trap price".

Stay away from shit of that kind

StingingVelvet: If you actually want to buy stuff then Microsoft announced recently they were going to start putting everything on Steam. I know many people here hate Steam with a burning passion but it's better than the Windows Store at least.

moobot83: why would they put everything on steam ive been watching E3 and most games have windows store in the bottom after the trailers, why would MS pay money to steam to host there games when they own an entire OS and console to do that with for no extra cost
In March, we announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will come to PC later this year, launching on Steam in addition to the Microsoft Store on Windows. We will continue to add to the more than 20 Xbox Game Studios titles on Steam, starting with Gears 5 and all Age of Empires I, II & III: Definitive Editions. We know millions of PC gamers trust Steam as a great source to buy PC games and we’ve heard the feedback that PC gamers would like choice. We also know that there are other stores on PC, and we are working to enable more choice in which store you can find our Xbox Game Studios titles in the future.

age of empires series and the original halo should be on GOG do game devs really hate GOG that much cos of DRM free or is it cos steam is more popular

it's because the forum users keep calling their games crap, so they think their games will not be well received here...
very interesting list of games.
I would happy to pay 12 bucks for XBOX PC game pass streaming service if it's available in Croatia. Just for new Ori. Sadly it seems it's still regionlocked & I would have to search Ori and The Will of Wisps on steam or Epic, but hopefully it will come to GOG.
Apparently, Phoenix Point will be available through the service on launch date. That makes two now with Metro Exodus. So what's the point of this whole Epic Game Store exclusivity again? =P I do wonder how they wiggled out of their original contractual terms to pull this off.

Honestly i don't really get this and the thought that comes to my mind is: screw over your backers for a exclusivity that is not really exclusive but atleast Steam get shafted and we get more money.

This makes me wonder why can't they fulfill their promise to backers atleast on Steam/ GOG and make us other consumers wait until 2020.

I used Kickstarter on multiple projects in the past and happy with most of them but after this i doubt crowdfunding videogames will recover anytime soon with all broken promises and trust which really hurts smaller devs.

*shrug* All I know is I'll probably end up playing both games via the Xbox Pass now. For a tenner that is a no-brainer. Forget buying them.

I signed up for this for $! yesterday. I wanted to play We Happy Few. I have never been happy with the price point for that game. For $1 I have been playing about 3 hours now. It's good. Better than reviews led me to believe.

For 1$ I want to install We Happy Few, Slay the Spire and when new Ori comes up I want to play that.

But Microsoft region locks me.

I'm glad you enjoy the game. Enjyo it for me.
Meh, have the same problem
The problem with these game passes is it grants more control over what games are promoted and less choice to avoid games you dislike so that you indirectly support them against your interest.
