Is it okay to use a power cord from one monitor on another monitor (different brands... one is an ASUS and the other is an LG)? I mean I'm doing it as I type this... and was actually scared to turn it on... but it came on... it appears okay... but thought I should ask anyway. Am I in danger of something bad happening?

Both monitors are similar... IPS, LED backlit, 28 inch monitors. I'm not flirting with fire (literally) am I???

(Sorry, I know as a damned grown man I should probably know this.... but I don't)

I'm sure you're fine. This is assuming you're talking about the 115 VAC power cord and not the small cord that comes after a power brick.

If necessary, attach a photo so we can have a look-see.

Yeah it's a regular old 115 power cord, looks just like the power cord of a million other things.

Thank you very much for confirming. I'll sleep a little better tonight. lol
Relax, I do it all the time. It's perfectly safe.

Just this morning I switched out my current cord for an older one I had in my closet and so far no pro.........

I was going to go with just a regular mushroom cloud but then I decided to make a game out of it. :P
