It would probably help if you'd give some more information, like what OS you have, CPU, graphics card and so on.

What OS are you on, tbh the best way to run it is a VB with windows xp or use linux and install it on there.

Oh windows 10, ya it just won't run on windows 10 it crashes the OS or crashes it self every time sadly spent a few hours trying to get it to work, Vituel box with windows xp or linux is best bet

El_as_Ramo_Gali_n: do you know if another wors like works armageddon will work on windows 10?
I have not gotten any other worms games from gog, so i can not say, but check the supported OSes
if it says windows 10 it should work out of the box.
It’s clear on the game page:

Works on:
Windows (XP,Vista,7)

You are on win 10, not supported. This is why most people keep a windows 7 machine about or Linux machine (or some sort of dual boot). As pointed out above, you could try a virtual image, my experience is that games don’t work (performance wise) through virtual images though.

to add to what nightcraw1er.488 said:

On each game page you'll see "Works on:". See if your OS is listed there (Win 10). If it is you should be good to go (though you should also check the system requirements below, towards the reviews at the bottom of the page); however if you still have issues, check the worms forum or contact GOG Support. You might be entitled to a refund in that case if you and GOg Support working together can't get the game working. (not in this instance but if you buy a Worms game that is supported by your OS)

worms world party remastered
and
worms w.m.d.

both say they work with win 10.

however the online severs are likely to be empty as steam and gog do not play together. but if you're getting it for the solo or hotseat then you should be ok i guess

But in that case technical support will help or give a refund, not if the OS is unsupported. Would be suprised if something doesn’t work on win 10 or win 7.

I think it works on 32 bit Win 7 and not on 64 bit Win 7.

32 bit Win 7 had incredible backwards compatibility. Even games that did not work well on XP usually worked fine for me when I had it.

that could be it, but i mean there is little to no reason for me to have had a win 7 32 bit so i did not test that.

64 bit for the win except in worms 2 case.
Try Run as administrator or right-click program and check the compatibility.

*that does not work for worms 2 on windows 10*
