As you can see it still says that the hardcover is releasing tomorrow on the 28th but the mail I got a few days ago actually corrected it to the 12th of August, hopefully the final release date.

Anyway, I was thinking about incentives to convince and get even more people to purchase Cyberpunk2077 here on GOG.com instead of anywhere else where a third party gets the usual cut and CDPROJEKTRED ends up getting less from each copy sold.

If nothing would prevent that maybe CDPROJEKTRED could do a special promotional offer and include the digital edition of the World of Cyberpunk2077 with the GOG.com preorder of Cyberpunk2077?
The PDF would then be downloadable on the 12th of August from your GOG.com library, and help tide you over until November when the actual game releases.
As the publisher Darkhorse may have the last word on this, but if they don't this would indeed be a major draw to get Cyberpunk 2077 on GoG.
Good idea. (I know that reads like a spam post.)
You really have good intentions. But there's other parties involves here indeed (about the book, I mean). Dunno if at offering something extra people would come to buy in GOG. It's possible.
Anyway, GOG lies open with trust for the comsumers, giving them total freedoom to choose so...I know I will purchase here and I advise to anyone I know it's interested in Cyberpunk (or other games) to do so too. It's the only way I can return this trust.
Doing what you sugest would be against their policy, I think. Anyone who pay for the game will get the same content at any platform so...again, your idea is good, but I don't think they should or would do something like that

Including the digital version of the book with all CP2077 pre-orders on all distribution platforms BUT making it available to download exclusively for GOG customers on the book's release in August would still be reasonable though.

Everyone would still get the pdf or epub or whatever format on November 19th alongside the other extras and the game itself, but GOG customers would get early access to the digital version of the book on August 12th.

And don't forget that the GOG version of CP2077 already got some extra love with the exclusive goodies pack back in June and is going to receive GOG-exclusive extras like print-quality posters, an exclusive digital booklet and additional wallpapers and avatars on release.
The "same content on all platforms"-pledge clearly just applies to the content of the game itself. Any non-game bonuses and extras, like the digital version of that companion book therefore could (and should) be leveraged as incentives to purchase CP2077 on GOG. If I were in CDPR's shoes I would definitely make use of that.

You may be right. I get your point.
Well, hope CDPR reads the forums from time to time and think about it :3 Any plus to the ones who support them better would be super wellcome
