I think we just need more originality in the reviews. I just cannot believe how repetitive they get. The forst word to ban in those would be "a gem". I facepalm every time I see it now. And it is funny, because this word seems to be a leitmotiv of GOG reviews, not other platform reviews to my surprise.

Thoughts?
nigger

Actually expecting people to write good, thoughtful quality reviews (with an undisclosed character limit that just eats your work when you post it) for free on their own time? Tough. I don't think bans will help. The best you can do is upvote the reviews that you find good.

Breja: "Fallic", "asbestos" and "defenestration".
What is "fallic"? (And any form of "defenestrate" is OK by me, as long as it can be worked into a sentence properly. :) )

It's Polish for phallic.

I assumed "phallic" is probably what he was going for, but I genuinely wasn't sure.

i thought that said posh not polish
Regarding my list of words that I think are sorely overused in reviews: I think "the", "and", "to", "of", "a", "for" and "an" are all crutches that people lean on way too heavily.
EDIT: Fixing ironic mistake

its going to be a bit hard to construct an sentence or a review with out those though

Yeah, I misspelled :P Big deal.

Also: If you make that capital "P" lowercase, then that sentence looks like someone talking about some sort of dick polish in broken English. =D

Also, words ending in "s". It really grind my gears seeing those in reviews all the time, too.

ending in an S ?
like what ?
star wars ?
"underrated": every game, song, movie, book etc, even if it was popular, successful, made a lot of money will have a retard calling it "underrated" with the regular winning combo "underrated gem" that pleases our OP :-)

Down with plurals!
...Err, multiple...uh, things...
...Damn my sudden intense, irrational hatred of commonplace words and constructions!
