Does anyone feel like the walking movement is much too fast?

When I try and position myself to grab herbs and loot and such i do alot of backpedaling and such to get the right distance.

the sprinting seems right but the walking feels like running.
i was thinking of a different movement
and how evilnacy reagan would go flippy if they heard that the witcher 3 simulates bowel movements

imagine my disappointment
lol well yeah, but seriously i was all over the place following ciri in the tutorial can't imagine it's going to get any easier in some of the trickier parts of the game.

No idea what you're playing it on, but is there any chance that you've got sub-recommended graphics? There's a lag that would make detailed movement tough if you're running a low-end GPU. The fix there would be to drop detail settings, obviously, if that's the case.

Otherwise...no idea. There's a bit of spacing allowed between Geralt and the world interactables (not a real word, red squiggly line? What do you know anyway) so maybe just try to pull up short when going up to things?
This is disappointing. I was really hoping for a Witcher movement like the social rights movement. You know, get the Witcher on equal grounds with all this crap in the mainstream media and turn the world into The Witcher fanatics. Still a better story than SJW nonsense.

No such luck sorry my computer is way beyond what this game is recommended for, I wouldn't even know where to start with hardware but my GPU is this:

Oh, that monster? I've actually just got a Titan X myself (my power supply wouldn't support that thing). I *have* seen YouTube videos of the 295x2 running W3 at 2560x1600, so it should work. I guess try the Sapphire forums, maybe? Not using AMD, I have no idea if you should be trying to use Mantle or not for this :/
Are you using kb/m ? I'm using an xbox 360 controller and it works pretty well with the joysticks for movement.

Ya I am running it at 2560x1600 right now, I am keeping an eye to see if ATI will release optimized drivers like they did for GTA. The game itself feels smooth at ultra, it's just the walking feels a bit fast.

yeah I will not use a controller, never will, I only use joysticks for flight sims, or racing wheels for driving sims.

The trouble seems to be Geralt's start/stop animations - they're visually reasonable if you're jogging or sprinting everywhere, but for small movements (such as when trying to get into the right position to interact with something), it ends up with him doing a drunken-looking stagger forward and recoil routine rather than a measured step.

Well at least someone else notices, maybe i will just get used to it over time and compensate for it naturally though, was hoping it would be something easily fixable. Like slowing down his "walking" speed/

Have you tried turning on vsync?
