CD PROJEKT RED, creators of The Witcher series of games, announce The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt going GOLD

“We worked so damn hard over the past three years to bring you this game,” said Adam Badowski, Head of Studio, CD PROJEKT RED. “From the corrupt nobles in Novigrad to ancient monsters lurking in deep forests, to the bustling cities, colorful ports and breathtaking vistas; all the people, all the places -- we literally spent tens of thousands of hours to turn all that into an adventure that will kick your ass and make you want to come for more,” adds Badowski. “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has gone GOLD and will soon be yours!” he concludes.

Garnering over 200 prestigious awards before launch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is CD PROJEKT RED’s most ambitious endeavour up to date. Set within a truly open world, the game puts you in the role of a wandering bounty hunter and monster slayer, Geralt of Rivia. In The Witcher, you take on the greatest contract of your life -- tracking down the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

The game is scheduled to launch May 19th, 2015, on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Windows PC, and PlayStation®4.
They do seem to love that Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, over @ CDP

A Gematsu article is actually mentioning a split US/EU release date, 19th vs 22nd, though that sounds unlikely to me, at least on PC.

NEXT-gen.
And almost constant 60 FPS on (still unseen ultra) on a PC that costs around two thousand bucks. Take your pick.:)

They have to, check every announcement Xbox one related, they have to say that dumb line.
Congrats CDPR, the amount of work put into that game looks insane.

However that xbone marketing line for Microsoft really does looks ridiculous.

By the way, gents, don't you think this news actually should be written as "Witcher 3 gone wild"?
We'll see on May 19th, I hope the fonts are bigger than TW2, and it has a debug console, if this is a console port I will go ape.
Congrats CDPR, u deserve it

Now -> release the preload option :)

PC clearly... I can't afford buying games for a console, as even 5 year old games cost in my country over 50 euros...

Girls magically removing what little clothing they have left, coming to your PC May 19th!
Despite the marketing partnership CDPR clearly has with Microsoft, you have got to admire their honesty when it comes to the performance of the game on Xbox One as compared to PC.

Plus backward compatibility, genres not present on consoles...

Voiceover is also funny at that moment when Yen removes her bra - "breathtaking". :D

So you're saying the proper choice is PS4? ;)

Slightly better version of Xbone, with slightly different "exclusives", limited backward compatibility, and still no proper controls and no mods?
Removing my own incompatibility with gamepads, of those two consoles I'd pick up Sony, no matter how much I like Halo, it's just better. But between all platforms? PC.
