And I don't need it, because I'm still playing the last dlc, which isn't short.

Edit: at least it isn't enhanced edition with more graphic sex scenes, then I might have to think about it.

Didn't CDPR personnel publicly debunk the Enhanced Edition 3 rumor, quite some time ago? What makes you think a Goty, Enhanced, or whatever edition comes out next? Could you please link us the sources you read, which caused your speculation concerning the possibility of such an update, on Witcher 3?

Mmm, thanks for the news! Stuff seems legit! But didn't they already give off all extra content, in one way or another (16 free, 2 paid)? I really, really wonder, what good or what extra, that "Goty" version is going to have...

They just make stuff easy and and bundle everything together. you know what would be nice.. And those people who actually bought skyrim in day one without dlc's ever would also get free "remastered thing" it totally sucks but early birds get fucked twice usually. I do like skyrim ( I know, this was about witcher 3 but I had to vent) I get nothing.

and fallout 4 basically sucks in every rpg kind of way but knowing that I shouldn't have bought it day one because I will have to pay my ass off if I want some dlc.

Anyway my skyrim was so modded combat wast the most modded thing for me.. what was I talking about.. Well at least modders make stuff, there is coming some skyrim mod enderal which seems pretty good.

Sorry about this rambling, I just forgot about stuff and started skyrim ramble.

If they do this then it'll likely rekindle sales of the game for a nice spike which is good as CDPR getting more revenue to invest into future games can never be a bad thing. :) Having said that though, a GOTY release IMHO would be nothing more than a remarketing of what is already out there. GOG already sells the game+expansion pass as a single purchase which presumably is exactly what a GOTY version would be. Sure, it'd be updated to current by default but that's what you get when you install the game now already anyway more or less.

That's not to take away at all from the release if it is legitimate, but I wouldn't expect it to contain any new content for example, nor anything exclusive to the GOTY release as that would be in opposition to what CDPR seems to stand for. So if it happens I'd pretty much bet money that it is really likely to just be a repackaging/remarketing of what you can buy already right here today. :) If it funds the development of Cyberpunk 2077 and a potential Witcher 4 down the road, I'm all for it. :)

Now, if they go ahead and surprise us and release additional DLC or content and make it available for all pre-existing owners of the game then that'd be ridiculously cool also, but I don't expect to see any new bits from them for Witcher 3 going forward. :)
I'd be happy with this. I have put off buying the game as its been bit by bit releases and just general messing about. Once they have a full final version then I will consider buying it.
Does anyone know if there will finally be a genuinely DRM-free retail release? One that doesn't require you to enter a code to download any content and could possibly be installed completely offline?

I'm always confused when people who say that liked Skyrim... In what RPG kind of way did Skyrim not suck ass? Enderal has finally put the engine, the assets and the great mods to good use.

Entering a code? You just download the various files from your Gog account page and that is it, nothing further. That is a DRM free release?

And how do you add the Witcher 3 to your GOG account? - By entering a code.

Look, I'm fine with getting many games as DRM-free installers through GOG but the Witcher 3 has not yet met these requirements, mainly because I'm not fine with paying so much for a digital copy of a Windows-only game. I would be fine with getting the retail version that I expected when the game first released but that one locked content away online and for months you'd only be able to buy the versions that required a patch from GOG. This patch also could only be acquired by registering the game. A real DRM-free retail copy is only DRM-free imo if you can sell it and the second owner gets access to the same product as the first owner - that could have been achieved by allowing updating without registering your game but that also would have been suboptimal.

I thought the Day 1 patch was available from CD Projekt RED as well, without any need of GOG. So you could install the retail version while completely offline, and without having to enter any code anywhere.
Might be mistaken though.

Edit: This is the one I meant.

JMich: snip
Ah, maybe I don't remember it correctly. However, the game had many game-breaking bugs and it wasn't possible to get any further patches without GOG.

So you brought a physical copy of the disk yes? If so then yes, there's nothing to say that is DRM free. CDProject and GOG are two different companies - only GOG is DRM free. So if you buy your games from here, then they are DRM free, if you buy them elsewhere... Much like if you picked up a retail copy HL2, once you have brought that you need to login to steam to get updates and such like. This is one of the reasons I no longer buy retail copies of games, stopped my 25 odd years of collecting too. I now only buy games from here and a few other sites.

How are they graphic, there's no genitals. Still "Hollywood" style.
