Hi Gog,

I really like your company. But I'm a bit confused and slightly annoyed, that many
other sites sell Wither 3 for less money then you are?

Isn't Gog and Projekt CD related, shouldn't you be able to provide a better price,
then all the other vendors?

Best regards,
Dieter
CDP owns GOG basically.

However this really depends where you look. Any site they have an official deal with, GOG should be providing the same-best price/most value.

If you're looking at key resellers though then they're probably reselling keys either obtained from countries/regions where it's cheaper and reselling them in the rest of the world, or they were fraudulently obtained (which *is* an issue since GOG even had to disable gifting of Witcher 3 here on the site for a while because they were getting a ton of chargebacks).

There's also the Nvidia codes, that came with buying a GTX graphics card which people are selling cheaply (though the card says 'not for resale'), which is another reason the price of the game is down in a lot of 'grey area' sellers.

Any legit store working with them though will have proper pricing.

It usually does not work this way. If CDPR will sell it cheaper on their store, then everyone else, then it will unfairly hurt other, official sellers, who will be pushed to lower the price also, down from publishers recommended price, to compete with the very publisher who recommended the price in the first place

When I checked lately on isthereanydeal.com Witcher 3 price on GOG was roughly in the middle of the field and on par with Steam in my region (everything is geolocked today right).

See the attached picture.

On the other hand you could just buy at the cheapest place and not care about whether this gives CDP most money or not. Economy works quite well even if everyone just does what is best for him without thinking too much about others.

dlgamer seems to have the best price currently in your region (which is also my region) which is around 10% below the GOG price.

(as a bonus, it is redeemed here, even if you buy from dlgamer - I don't understand the economic sense totally, but who cares really - CDP is mature enough to decide for themselves the price policy).

dlgamer.eu seems like a legit store but still offers the same pre-order package from here but for a 10% lower price. Not sure how this makes sense economically to kind of subsidize other stores but it must somehow.

Maybe something to do with supply and demand? And people's numbers? GoG isn't exactly as heavily populated as other vendor sites (alas)... Probably too many economic traffic lowered prices overall, elsewhere...?!??!!?
