MikeMaximus: But his continued Windows 10 ranting is just off the wall. It's one thing for Microsoft to push UWP, but something else to purposely break compatibility with win32 and there's zero evidence of that.
Breaking full win32 compatibility? Not sure. But it's undeniable he had slow performance for a while, and going clean without any updates at all was far faster, and he'd been using Win10 for about a year.

Maybe this is proof. Or maybe it was just an old laptop. Who the hell knows for sure.
I've tried the following games that all worked last week:

Neverwinter Nights 2, Nox, Uprising: Join or Die, Divine Divinity, and then I gave up. The difference between last week and this week: Win10 AU borked my GOG games and I'm none too happy about it.
Wow.. I don't even know what to say anymore about Win10
Beth games work fine under the new Windows 10 anniversary update. I don't have any issues. I'm running windows 10 Home 64bit. But I'm using an ATI R9 290x and not an nvidia card. I'm not using page files. Just running off ram. I don't own dishonored or farcry so I can't speak for those. I also don't use steam.
why would you want to stream your personal data to microsoft?

AlienMind: why would you want to stream your personal data to microsoft?
Because it's the hottest and newest thing! Oh and it will have Direct X 12! No other version of windows has that! I have to have it!

And as a typical customer I don't look over my settings as the default are fine, and I don't read the EULA either!

is

You can - or choose not to. Like Slate implementation I did, which should mean no.

But so you ask, as gog.com has quite a bit of your date - and maybe you even game online?

The point being: both of us trust MS and GoG not to be too evil with our data.

Why Gog gets your pass, when MS gets your scrutiny? PR image, maybe?

Yes, I've heard that. It's called Enterprise Edition but I'm not sure if you can even install it at home without an Active Directory server.
