Hi all,
Background: I have seen a lot of user issues/problems with Win10 and GOG games coming to the forums and quite often GOG is not fixing them or not aiding.
This made me search a bit the web and I found an interesting paragraph in the EULA for WIN 10:
(iv) work around any technical restrictions or limitations in the software;
out of:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/Useterms/Retail/Windows/10/UseTerms_Retail_Windows_10_English.htm
Is this maybe the reason why GOG hesitates to assist?
Why am I saying it?
MS did already say so in the past that certain problems are limitations of the software, not implemented or similar and are not willing to get a patch out for it.
And as the EULA even goes even a step further:
reserve all rights not expressly granted.....
(and they do not grant you anything)
IMHO MS could always declare anything a paragraph 2 c IV problem according to this EULA and get a cease and desist letter against GOG (or similar). And it is a pain in the you know where and cost a lot of money going against those.
This would even include other useful tools which a lot of us are using on a daily basis.
just wanted to see what others are thinking about.
