madluv6661: i just purchased ut4 to play online. Why on some servers i can't get on? It says my ip address is banned yet i am still able to play on other servers. I am using a tp extender in my room is that what is causing the issue? what can i do to get unbanned from servers i want to play on. I didn't do anything to get banned to my knowledge.
By default, Unreal Tournament 2004 is installed with the same, generic serial for all users. If more than two GOG users end up going multiplayer on the same server, the server can detect this and ban those IPs trying to access it.
If you want to properly play multiplayer, you'll need to get a unique serial number by contacting support. Go to the link below:
https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Select "Other Issues", then "Multiplayer Key Request" as the problem type, fill the rest of the fields as necessary and you should receive your unique key (along with instructions) in 2-3 working days.
