The website can obviously tell i'm Aussie and offers me the games in Australian prices but GoG Galaxy doesn't so what will it charge me in? Because if I pay in USD I pay as foreign currency conversion fee but if I pay in AUD I don't.
Not sure about galaxy but doesn't it just link you through to the webpages? On the webpages if you scroll down on the bottom right there should be an option to select currency
It's odd, but fixable.

In Galaxy, go to account management. Change the currency to USD then change it back to AUD. You may need to go to the storefront between changes.

I'm having the same problem but slightly different.
The website (now) shows me prices in GBP, which is correct as I'm in the UK.
In the past, Galazy showed me prices in EURO which is fine for me too, as when I started my GOG account originally I lived in a country which uses the EURO.
Now however, Galaxy keeps showing me prices in Polish Zloty, no matter what I do.
Changing the currency in Account Management has no effect.

Would appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance.

It could be you are using a browser the site doesn't fully support.

They mention in their post that they are using the Galaxy client.

I don't use it myself, so have no idea, other than trying what has been suggested in this thread already, or may be contacting support...

I did contact support and they suggested the following.
First uninstall GOG Galaxy by running the unins000.exe file located in the GOG Galaxy installation folder (by default C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient).

Then make sure that the following folders are also removed:
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com
C:\Users\All Users\GOG.com
C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\GOG.com\Galaxy\Configuration
where *username* should be your Windows Account Username.
You made need to show hidden files and folders in the "Folder and search options" if you haven't done so already.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files

Restart your computer. Then download the latest version of GOG Galaxy from our website:
http://www.gog.com/galaxy
and run the installation as an administrator.
I followed the advice and my issue is resolved. Prices now showing in pounds again instead of zloty. Not sure whether it would have been necessary to follow all the steps, perhaps simply uninstalling and reinstalling would have been sufficient.
