There's some that are faster because of this webkit, while others have support for something else. It's all based on taste, or dare I say distaste. Chrome is just annoying and not very fast either. They all suffer depending on DNS reqs, websites responses etc. At least that's' my experience.

OldFatGuy or someone else talked about GOGs forum response when replying. Apparently it's a forum "feature". As I understand it it happens in every browsers. I also use Pale Moon and it's faster on other sites.

As for the rep stuff, I would just ignore it, rep has been broken for a long time.

I'd suggest going for Chromium or one of its derivatives instead of Google Chrome. And ever since Edge got access to Tampermonkey and uBlock, it did go higher on my preference list. Still missing some functionalities (mostly the "open image in new tab"), but it does suit me quite well.
Mostly use SRWare Iron though.
