GeraltOfRivia_PL: I lease Witcher 3, Witcher 3 HS and Witcher 3 B&W on Steam. I have had them for years. I wanted them on GOG so bad, but it didn't seem right to buy a game i already own, even if it's as good as W3. When i heard it's being given away, i jumped out of excitement. But now it turns out i need to have the GOTY version to receive W3 plus the expansions here. WTF? Shouldn't they reward players who bought the game as soon as possible and didn't wait for GOTY? In Poland, we have a saying "Darowanemu koniowi w zęby się nie zagląda" (don't examine the teeth of a horse you've been gifted) meaning don't complain when you receive something for free. So while i am happy i have W3 on both platforms, i still can't help but be disappointed that i don't receive GOTY.
nightcraw1er.488: They are each considered separate items which is why there is the problem, ie goty is separate for the components. Would be more tricky to check I suppose.
Anyways, why do you need a GOG version if your already happy with the steam version your brought? Considering it was released here at the same time as steam you took the decision to buy there...
I didn't have a GOG account at that time, actually i didn't even learn of GOG's existence until Gwent (it's on Steam now, but it used to be GOG exclusive. No offence, but you didn't bother to look at under my nickname?
And i didn't really buy them, my brother gifted them to me and he to this day only has a Steam account.
I wanted GOG copies because i want to only use Steam for games that GOG doesn't have. I am copletely anti-DRM now.
