PubBrawler: Why are there no female leads in video games. let me know why you think not in the comments
Yeah, there are absolutely no female leads in video games like Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Samus Aran (Metroid), Jill Valentine (Resident Evil), Claire Redfield (RE), Ellie (TLoU), Lightning (FFXIII trilogy), Kena, Jade (Beyond Good and Evil), Bayonetta, Aloy, Chell, Yuna, Heather Mason, Kat, Aya Brea, Amaterasu, or Rayne.

Absolutely none at all.
It is fair optimism to assume stupidity rather than malice, but PooBrawler deserves nothing of the sort.
My opinion? That these may be a problem of creator and relatability. The less the creator relates with a specific aspect, the less confortable they feel giving it depth, you need a broader (not bigger) creative team with different voices to give less stereotypical views on a subject, and at the same thing if you fail to represent a certain group, the harder to find those creative voices.

Even when it's unfair to say that there are no female leads, one can also question how relatable are those examples. Is the question if the character is a doll to explore the game, or a guide with their own personality that allows you to explore it.

You could give us an example to dissect further though.

You have six games. Playing more games should fix that issue.

If it were a serious topic, there would be a point...

*Sorry, I edited a little bit my previos answer (And this one too to explain this), so my idea was cut short.

But even if it was the case, there is no reason to not share opinions. I'm not a big fan of hoarding internet points.

Just on GOG.com, I can think of:
* Timespinner
* Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
* Ikenfell

That's *3* games with female leads I can think of right away.

Also,
*Jill of the Jungle
* I've heard something about a series known as Tomb Raider
* Also, there's Horizon Zero Dawn
Do a deeper research on games dude
There's even a special game tag on Steam for 'Female Protagonist'
Seriously?
