Several years (10 maybe?) ago I stumbled upon some WAVs of a guy that managed to record the music tracks from SkyRoads.
It had Static noise and some sound glitches, but it was still a much better way to listen than load it up in Dosbox.
Eventually it got uploaded to Youtube, and some time later was a remix of about 2 of these tracks. these were cleaner and a bit different, but still a nice addition. But now it seems at some point there was a Renaissance.
If you like SkyRoads you now have these, which are quite fantastic, and they are not the only ones out there.
That Captain actually remixed his old Space Debris track for a game named Rochard, With others appreciating his Beyond Music.
And there are actually New (well somewhat) talent to drive the genre into the next generation.

How did i manage to miss all that?! Would sure love to hear from you on this topic and suggestions for other stuff out there! :)

Pretty cool. Apparently they get played on Nectarine Radio, which I listen to (Nectroid rules) but somehow missed. I always liked the stuff Captain composed and still listen to his original mods from time to time.

Thanks for the heads up. Spiral (Mats Antonsson) did all of these remixes but unfortunately the download link for the FLAC Spiral Hands On set of albums is dead, although a lot (all?) of it appears to be available via Spiral's SoundCloud as MP3s. The ones I have grabbed so far are 320kbps, so at least they sound good.

Update: Spiral Hands On download (link found on Spiral's own YouTube channel). It's a 1.07GB ZIP archive, but the download speed from the server is slow.

Update 2: I really have to thank you for your post or I wouldn't have happened upon Spiral's remix of "masqrade" by Blazer of Kefrens, which prompted me to find the original mod. I used that mod as the chat call notification sound on my BBS (ViSiON-X) for years, but somewhere along the way lost the file and forgot all about it. I am now listening to this oddly distance but very familiar tune (in DMP, of course!) for the first time in almost 25 years and I'm smiling like a huge dork. :)
