nightcraw1er.488: Aye, GOG users nowadays, don't know their born :o)
It's not the same situation, though.
Back then they didn't have games to release.
Nowadays they reject games just to release nothing.

Nope. They rejected games back then, as well.
15:00 and no new promo or release or whatever.
Expecting christmas sale starting next week :)
At least there is not Black Friday promo. Canadian stores have embraced the insanity even though our thanksgiving was weeks ago.
GOG! Sell me something! Please! With C!
Releases please, I`m on cold turkey!

There is one release stream scheduled for today so maybe something is coming.

Donis said on his Twitter that today's release stream is going to be Unmechanical Extended. But, Judas said that we'd get a lot of releases soon enough:

Well, today would be perfect for the release of a shitload of games. We only had one this week so far.

true, a big shitload of games would be great, 20 or more or so :D the more the merrier and chances will be bigger theres something that i like, i still have so many games on my personal game list, at least 10 or so.
games that seem to be around as old games that are so old they put them up for free, but these dont work.

some examples:

bermuda syndrome (16 bits/win 3.11) have retail cd
touche adventures of the 5th musketeer (retail cd)

another great game from team17 apparently, has a win xp bug (maybe its time to fix that bug)
Nightlong: Union City Conspiracy

tony tough and the night of roasted moths (have it at GG)

also the secretfiles: 4 games again on sale at GG and a sometimes at Steam(have it at GG)
thats already 8 games i'd buy, but the number of votes are way to low for now, so i guess it will take a while..

if i do some more deep digging i probably find another 5 or maybe 10 games like the ones i mentioned above.

I'm interested in all those games too. Pretty much in any half decent p&c game.
Unfortunately, GOG gets old p&c games -the only adventure games with big wishlist votes-, and from time to time gamble in new indie adventures, but those released after the "demise" of adventure games; well, those are too niche for gog.

There are several P&C games from companies working with gog that are in some other stores but not here (viva media, focus home, nordic, deep silver, night dive).
From that time period the only releases I remember are Greymatter, because Jane Jensen, and the Black Mirror trilogy.

The Secret Files games aren't drm-free on GG. They are from Deep Silver, though. So could easily be here...
i guess they're running short on new promo names, so no promo.

secret 1 was drm free, seems there are 2 versions, unless they removed the drm free game and replaced it with drm, i bought that drm free version, i bought the franchise, but since i dont use steam, cause who wants to run a client in order to play a game he owns? the client needs actively be installed, so thats why i want these few games on gog, so i can leave the steam behind:D, if i have the few big games i own on steam here at gog, id probably erase my steam account(99% for sure)

i know, but one can always hope? cant we ?:D
as for number of votes, well then we will be getting 1000s of fpp 3d games, thats not bad either cause the majority want these, thats why the 10000 of votes.

the reason i mentioned these games is, that some old games seemed to need fixing or so to make it work with win7 and up, these game i mentioned work on win7 and up, so the only thing meeded is the remove of the nasty need for steam client and or tages/ securom or other nasty drm.

edit: just checked the page on GG its still drm free this one:

Platforms:PC
File size:2 524.24 MB
Categories:Adventure, Point-and-Click
Publisher:Deep Silver
DRM:DRM Free
Version:1.03
Features:DRM Free
Languages:English

System Requirements

OS: Windows® XP/2000
CPU: 500 MHzPentium® 3 or Equivalent
RAM: 128 MB
Disk Space: 2.5 GB
CD/DVD-ROM: 16x
Video Card: 16 MB DirectX 9.0 Compatible
Sound: DirectX® 9.0c Compatible Audio Device
Other: Mouse, Keyboard, and Speakers

I also have a screenshot taken, just in case they 'replace' this one with drm aswell, kinda funny 1 = drm free the others is steam and/or tages, myabe its the case because this game is oldest, but if it is one of a collection you should be consequent and have all the games either with or without the exact same drm, so no steam only, or tages only or a mix, that makes it confusing.

There aren't any weekly staff picks either. For now at least. They should have appeared an hour ago, right?

It's way too early for yet another sale though. Perhaps a major release?

Winter sale starting on December 2. Tell me if you want the thread where it was discussed.
