cogadh: A-ha! You are missing the small executable. There should be a third file (probably the first file on the download list in your library) that is called something like "setup_baldurs_gate_enhanced_edition_2.4.0.6.exe". That's the file you need to run to install the game.

MightyPinecone: I think you're confusing me with deano715. I quoted you so that deano715 could easily follow your written instructions along with my visual. The .exe file is hidden by the View area.

deano715: I installed Galaxy and am d/loading the game again. Hopefully it will go to Galaxy and install. This has been a headache for me.

Actually my late wife was a tech. I should have paid more attention when she was trying to teach me things. I have installed played games for a long time, mosty MMO's but this sure threw me a curve :) Thanks for all the help hopefully the Galaxy thing will dumb it down enough for me to actually play the game. :)

Yay! Sorry I stepped away for a while and forgot to check on the thread. Glad it worked for you! Galaxy really isn't super terrible if you don't mind using a client.

Thanks. Im not opposed to clients. I used Battlenet for WOW after Blizz forced us into it. I also have Trions client Glyph I use for Rift so im sort of used to it. I heard/read some horror stories about Steam when it first became a thing but have never used it myself. Thanks again for the help, good bunch of folks here. Taking advantage of the low price on The Witcher and d/loading it now. Baldurs Gate and Witcher are a couple I played when I had an XP maching. Take care and have fun.

Glad that it worked for you using Galaxy. :)

(But knowing this community I wonder how long it will take until some of those will step forward and say that this user/problem never did exist for real and all was just a big scheme from GOG to show us how important Galaxy to new users is ...)
