I used Brave on my android phone and had no problems redeeming it. Of course I turn off all the blocking crap for this site because I know this site things act weird when I try to block all scripting. I do not understand staying back on really old versions of a browser when security holes are found in them all the time.
Hell, on a weekly vulnerability summary that is put out by US-Cert, this week I found there were 12 medium grade vulnerabilities discovered for Chrome.
https://www.us-cert.gov/ncas/bulletins/SB18-351 Working in IT I get why staying at a stable driver or firmware since you should only update those if there is some bug it fixes or there are security issues it fixes. With software that uses other servers like web browsers and operating systems it is a good idea to update. I am not saying stay bleeding edge.
Now, I like browsers like Lynx on Linux but it does not mean I would expect website developers to cater to them or really old browsers like old versions of FIrefox.
ignisferroque: Safari and Opera work fine too.
Btw: Whats it with so many having only one (even outdated) browser installed? They really just require a negligible amount of disk space and don't take away any performance when they aren't used.
I always have at least a second one installed in case my primary one doesn't work on some page.
Above what comes with Windows 10 I have the following browsers installed and have no issues with gog.com
Firefox
Chrome
Opera
Vivaldi
All are up to date and work great overall. Of course I won't use Edge or IE to go to any site outside but beside that...
