End of Halo: Reach has a couple last stand moments that are pretty cool.

Drew22881: Call of Duty 1, Pavlov's house mission. When I played it I was completely swarmed by Germans, all my companions were dead, I was crouched in some corner with a pile of corpses in front of me, almost out of health and ammo. All of a sudden it was strangely quiet, I carefully crawled towards a window and saw friendly tanks and infantry everywhere, mopping up the last of the Germans. 20 years later, I still remember that moment.
Yeah...

I was hiding on the window ledge by the end for that one!
WH 40k Dawn of War - Winter Assault on IG/Eldars side.

You push out the attackers while Eldars escape via webgate.
For some reasons resource income is slower but game does not show that on the interface. With +95 Requisition gain it felt more like +25 or something (almost default starting value).
Never found the reason nor anyone with that problem.

BreOl72: Mission 16: the radio relay on top of the hill - that's an awesome mission.

You already get an impression of what's about to come (though you don't know that yet, of course), when you fly in and have to gun down the attackers with the Huey's onboard MG.

Another one: at the end of the game, when your camp gets overrun by the VC/NVA, and you have to flee.
Oh yes, that last level was also very memorable. I remember running around aimlessly in the night, between the various trenches and bunkers trying to find a place to hold out. It was a lot like the end of Platoon come to think of it.

idbeholdME: One very well done Last Stand RTS mission was the final one in SC2 Wings of Liberty. You really feel like you are desparately holding out against overwhelming odds until the artifact charges. There is no escape, no alernative, either success or death.

The final Undead mission in WC3, defending Kel'Thuzad is similar. The last attack wave that comes like 90 seconds before the end is extremely overwhelming and bound to destroy most of what you have.

RTS in general are a good source for this kind of thing. Too bad the genre id pretty much dead. I hope Age of Empires IV will bring about something of a classic RTS revival.
Warhammer gladius, while turn based knows also similar endings for the different races if you decide to follow the story campaigns, nothing beats multiple necron pyramids emerging from the deep surrounding your base with 2 turn left on the clock and the mission to keep your base safe for those 2 turns,

the end story is also very neat which tells a tale of how the gates are smashed in and the necron overseer marches in with the end times device ( just a name ) still beeping behind you, not sure if you are hit by some weapon on that point but in the last second for your demise as commander the machine stops beeping and turns green so to speak, leaving you as commander of the present elite forces of the emperor with the only action left to activate the device

Matewis: ...running around aimlessly in the night...
That's an apt description of that level. ;)
