Quack,

I rarely require support and even if the few times I did in many years it has never been very speedy, this was never that bad. I opened a case on November 3rd, replied to the automated mail and pinged a few times but to no avail. What's going on?

Official story: GOG is temporarily behind in their support tickets (but they have been temporarily behind for the last year or two already).

Most likely real story: GOG is bleeding money, and doesn't have enough money to spend to pay for sufficient amounts of support staff.

It's the holidays. Who wants to spend Christmas doing helpdesk? ;p

In addition to what ACD said (but I think is far less of a factor), Who thinks, in sane mind: Yeah. Let me move to another country to do helpdesk support.
I did not know this problem had been going on for so long.

I'm not asking staffers to skip celebrations for my case but this is almost two months old. We're far from what the automated email told me « but please note that it may take us up to 2 weeks to get back to you ».
Not sure if this has anything to do with opening this thread but I finally got a reply from the support. In the end all was sorted out very quickly and in a satisfactory manner. I just hope these crazy delays get sorted out. I also hope suggested improvements related to the ticket are taken into account.

yeah thats the slowly and sad descent of gog into complete madness. if one needs support, its not enough to just contact them, you'll also have to bring it to attention on the forum and social media! and after more then one month, gog will probably reply!
