We all want GOG to have the definitive versions of classic games we love, but in many cases that means the Amiga versions. A while back, GOG looked into offering Amiga versions of games and decided it was too complicated. Has it gotten any less complicated in the years since? Has an AmigaBox emulator that doesn't require the Kickstart ROM been developed yet? Cinemaware is selling the Amiga versions of their games running in their own emulator. Couldn't GOG do something similar? Could any of you more familiar with the challenges of doing this shed some more light on this matter? What games already sold on GOG have superior Amiga versions?

No. The Amiga OS IP is still split between Amiga Inc, Cloanto and Hyperion. It's still a mess.

No. There's AROS, which has come a long way in recent years, although I don't know how compatible that is with vanilla Kickstart. Bear in mind that the vast majority of games on the Amiga were coded to the metal and were not designed to be compliant with Workbench (in fact, anything that was fully Workbench-compliant prior to OS3.0 ran like crap).

I don't think the Cinemaware games actually emulate an Amiga. I think they've been disassembled and recompiled in the same way as the recent Chaos Engine remake.

The Horrorsoft/Adventuresoft games that GOG sells, Personal Nightmare and Waxworks, have Amiga versions that run in ScummVM. Why not make those available along with Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark and Elvira II: The Jaws Of Cerberus?

The Cinemaware in-house emulator (can't remember what it's called) uses the kickstart ROMs. I can only assume that Cinemaware has somehow gotten permission to distribute them (or one of them at least).
By spamming your wishlist 3 times per week obviously.
