I bought battletech and it still says it will be released on the 24th of April 2018. By my count it has been the 24th April 2018 for about 11 hours. Just wondering what time games become available on release day.

Nope, your right its summer time, but both CET and GMT are on summertime, so its still GMT + 1. Apparently since 1996 according to Wiki, and probably extending at least until the end of the when brexit may or may not happen.

You are mistaken there. CET and GMT are time zone standards. They do not shift during summer time.

During summer time CET (Central European Time, aka GMT + 1) becomes CEST (Central European Summer Time, aka GMT + 2) in countries which adhere to summer time.

In the UK you are also not on GMT at the moment, you are on GMT + 1 which is also called BST (British Summer Time).

Not quite, as Britain leaves GMT in the summer and moves to BST. GMT is still where it always was, we've moved into another time zone.
