I'm a serious (not pro) gamer so definitely Windows 10/Steam/Bnet.

Console though I'm torn. I want to play many games but they're all exclusives on their own respective plaforms gaaaaahhhh (Mario/Last of Us).

Darvond: Cute, but i prefer terminal windows for that.
I saw what you did there guys!

lol

(+1 both)
PC - HP i5 3470 slightly modded with a new PSU and an RX 460 running Win 7. Nothing to write home about, but it gets the job done (plus the whole thing including FX card was under $500).

As a backup I've got my old PC (needs a new FX card and HD) and my dusty but functional PS3, and for trips or power outages I've got an old Nintendo DSLite.

Somehow over the years I went from early adopter spending thousands of dollars on top gear to a used bargain bin searching spend-thrift. I'm not sure how that happened, but either way it saves me money.
Years-out-of-date craptop that I hope to replace with something that was modern 5 years ago rather than 8.
PC

System: Windows 10 Education
GPU: 1080ti
RAM: 16GB
CPU: i7 7700 with "Cooler Master Hyper 212X" cooler
Drives: 1TB HDD + 2x 500GB SSD.
PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra 750 W Gold

Monitor: Dell S2417DG - TN, 24 inch, 2560x1440, up to 165 Hz refresh rate with G-Sync.

Extras:
A mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Black switches and US layout (SteelSeries 6Gv2)
A gaming mouse (HyperX Pulsefire Surge)
Wi-Fi card (ASUS PCE-AC88)
DVD drive
and a 2.1 sound setup (from Genius I think).

Connection: 300Mbps down/20 up

What I'm looking to upgrade:
Sound setup
Monitor

That is probably all I can remember off the top of my head.

EDIT:
Motherboard: Asus PRIME Z270-A

EDIT 2:
Case: Something from Cooler Master, don't know the specifics. Probably one of the earlier HAF models.

Used to be Nintendo home consoles until the Wii U, when I didn't live at home anymore.
Nintendo handhelds up until DS Lite. Their handheld gaming selection is godlike.

These days, PC fosho. I'll never turn back too.
Up until last month I would have said Win PC, but then my gaming PC died on me.

As of right now it's a Nintendo Switch with some Mac mini side action for some lighter or older fare. So far I'm not at all regretting dipping my toes into console-land again. While I do still have a backup machine with my older gaming lappie that can play most all of my GOG games without issue, my Switch and Mac are getting so much playtime I can't be bothered to set it up just now.

A Mac Pro with a Radeon RX480 using OSX and Win 10. Still haven't found a game I couldn't play on near-ultra (well, only playing in 1080/1200p) so I'll probably keep it like that for another 2 yrs or so.

Never been a console player but ever since I bought a steam link and a Xbone controller I've seriously enjoyed playing on the TV/sitting on the couch with controller. Not all games of course, tried Doom 2016 for like 10 mins before switching back to my computer screen and KBM. But for anyone who also works with PCs it's nice to switch positions/hands like that. ;)

I'm pretty agnostic.

I spend most of the time at the PC though, for a broader range of games, music, youtubing etc, but I do love my consoles too.

In truth though, if it wasn't for GOG and itch.io I probably would have abandoned gaming on PC years ago.
