This game is only a year old. Its setting has something very huge in common with Discworld. Its devs previously released a Metroidvania where you play as a character who can see the future and must prevent a very imminent end of the world.

Another screenshot to make the Discworld hint explicit..

The character design looks so eXtremely familiar, I'm sure I've seen it in some newspost or somewhere else at some point. Alas I don't remember where and I've no idea despite googling through pictures of hundreds of results of "2024 metroidvania games"....

In case you missed a previous hint, the first two letters of the game title are the same as the first two letters of "Monster Sanctuary". That should really narrow things down a bit, I'd think.

Also, the game has a demo on Steam.

It is indeed Moonlight Pulse! Your turn!

It's a fun game btw, though not among indie masterpieces or anything.

Found it, asked AI and got the answer. But I'm happy to let others give it a go if you want.
Found it too, but I recognized the game style (though the game itself is still on my backlog). I went last though, so I'll also give others a chance :)
OK, it's been 3 days, and I don't know why no one's recognizing Sunset Overdrive. I'd thought it was a well enough known game.

Do so few people play the forum game these days? It's sad if so.

yeah, it's quite sad that there are so few players in this forum game, it's one of my favorites

I check somewhat regularly, but if I don't know the game in question, I'm out. I don't do image searching and such. So I only chime in if a screen looks familiar from memory.

I believe image searching to be fair game if you search by keywords and then look at the image results to see if anything seems similar. But to each their own. This is one case though that I did recognize the game, and then looked at Steam store page to double check, only to find this exact image right there, lol.

OK, next one:
