So since I never really fully played this game, other than looking at its few "logical" puzzles with a friend long time ago, I thought that maybe I don't give it enough credit. So I'm going to play it from start to finish, and if it turns out enjoyable I'll find a new whipping boy. No internet walkthroughs or similar help; just like it was played when it came out.

Before I start, could anyone tell me which was its original language? English or Polish? I'm asking because I've seen way too many books where a lot was lost in translation. Even in good translation. So was it originally Polish translated to English, or the other way round. Or both languages released simultaneously? I couldn't find the info Wikipedia or mobygames.

Also, what's this about it being released on CD with digitized speech. Is that in both languages?

Even if they were released simultaneously, one of them is still the original. It doesn't really matter if the translation was made before or after the game was released.

If I had to guess, I'd say Polish. The writing style comes off like a translation to me but it might just be the grammar mistakes.

Seems to be Polish, according to this GOGmix. Some extra info on the related thread.

Thanks, but this seems to be about games developed in Poland. That doesn't necessarily mean Polish was its original language.

MobyGames list a "translation help" credit for a Peter Wells. I doubt a Peter Wells helped a bunch of Polish developers translate a game into Polish, so yeah, Polish.

As for the voiced version, again, it doesn't seem likely that a bunch of writers for a Polish gaming magazine would voice act in English.

Well, what can I say? It was developed and published by Metropolis, a Polish company that was later absorbed by CDPR.

There's some info about it on the ScummVM wiki:

"In addition a special version of TeenAgent was released on CD-Rom in Poland for DOS, This version was created and published by both Metropolis Software House and CD Projekt. This version contained a full audio soundtrack and voices recorded by the creators of the Polish Gambler Magazine. This version was then given away for free with the magazine."
