I'm looking at Pre-Order (annoyed at the freebie) for Just Cause 3, it says it will be released "Holiday 2015".

What does that even mean? A Bank Holiday, The summer holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas?

You would think they would use standard Q1,2,3 or 4 or a fecking season instead of something that vague, or is it now vague and actually mans something?

Christmas would be Holiday 2015. If you're looking at a US site there is no such thing as a Bank Holiday and the summer holiday is a vacation. The holiday season is basically Thanksgiving through New Year's.
That was EXACTLY my question when i first saw the small reveal video a few months ago...

So apparently Holiday 2015 is at the end of December 2015.

Now, WHY the choose this date is beyond me. One of the guys that defended this, said that "if they just said December 31st 2015 and they wouldn't deliver, people would be pissed off for delaying the game".
Yeah, that makes sense...NOT!
It means the closest holiday to right now, which is Cinco de Mayo. So, Just Cause 3 is going to be released tomorrow.
Usually it means it will be available for purchase just before the major holidays in December. So I would expect a late November, early December release.

But it also gives them so leeway if they can't get it done in time. So they could ship it Dec 29 and still get away with it.
Holiday 2015 means "between the week of U.S. Thanksgiving and the end of the year." Thanksgiving this year is November 26. It is known as the holiday season in the U.S. because it has the three biggest holidays of the year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) combined with a seemingly interminable series of shopping, parties, concerts, and other events throughout the intervening days.

Being a period of 5 or 6 weeks, it is shorter than "4th quarter" and less vague than "toward the end of the year." And since they are releasing in the holiday season, it is likely to be in the first 3 or 4 weeks of that period so that the game can be given as a Christmas present.
Thanks for the replies, yeah I guess Christmas, cos they say Happy Holiday at that time I suppose.

Thanks and +'s for the replies
