Serren: I might have given No Man's Sky another chance had the developer released a final, stable version, but it's far too late for that and I've moved on.

Ice_Mage: No Man's Sky Endurance update just launched for this game that was released in mid-2016.
So six years after the pre-alpha quality initial release and it's still not final. This is why I won't ever touch it again.

13ison: I am always on the verge of diving back into the Saints Row series, either 3 or 4. I thought it was just a warmed over GTA clone when I tried to play them previously but everybody always speaks so highly of them I have to assume there is something there I missed.
I liked Saints Row 2 and 3 because they remind me of what GTA used to be before it got all serious and broody (so GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas). Saints Row's gone down the wacky spiral though, which has waned my interest.

Linko64: I hated Dragon Age 2 on release. Decided to give it another chance and discovered it's gotten even worse over time.
Never in my life I agreed with a statement so strongly, I pressed my "mouse" button (trackpoint keyboard) so swiftly and so hard to like this post.

Game developing studios as well.
I was very disappointed with NWN1, so I decided to drop Bioware games entirely. Yet, some time later, my friends were crab-raving about Mass Effect 1 and how I would like it. Yes, they were right, but "how little we know".

On a side note (not really on second chances), I have to admit, I have strange relationship with Witcher series. I like the original books and was thrilled someone was making a game that didn't looked totally borked.

Upon release Witcher 1 had some issues, to put it mildly. Yes, vast majority of those were on technical side, and most, if not all were patched out eventually, making game much better (or, at least, more stable from technical perspective). But overall, I liked game a lot. Despite the fact, that I hate QTE in any form (dayvidkeydg, ahem), Witcher 1 combat, both rhythm-based clicks and switching styles on the fly was quite fun, "engaging", and skill tree was logical enough.

Yet, when Witcher 2 showed up, they totally revamped combat and some skills (and gear, turning end-game stuff from previous game to "lol, white rags"), mindwiping Geralt again. And again, on release game had issues, most of which were ironed out. And again, those issues were mostly technical again. However, from story/narration perspective some moments left very little trail in Witcher 3 (making this game somewhat irrelevant). Still, I like the game, especially when played both story forks, Yorveth and Roche.

And then we have Witcher 3, game that never had a downgrade, yet had "mountain of retardation" (courtesy of GCN channel on YT, ME3 sins redux video) when it comes to skills (active slots), Dragon Age 2 - style "combat animations" (really, CDPR hired someone from Bioware who was biting everyone in CDPR?), and mindwipe again? Even though, according to background lore, Geralt foinolly remembers everything and should be able to do everything? Eh.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes, I completed Witcher 3 in a single blast (took a vacation just for that, shifting it based on shifting date of release, lol), before Poles were able to release 1.05 patch, yet my disdain towards skeelz/kombat/animeyshons remains still. And to some decisions I didn't make, but was reprimanded for. Oh, well.
I think context can also affect my opinion. When I first tried playing Payday solo, I really did not like it but then my brothers all got into it and convinced to run a few heists with them and it was a blast. I will still only ever play that game MP, but I certainly can say I like that game now.
