mrkgnao: That's a pretty convoluted way of saying "Lemmings".
Hmmm, seems I need to be more cryptic next time. You saw right through that,
Also, 0ad if it ever gets done. They ran into some trouble with one of the programmers having to leave from what I remember.
I'm still waiting for a proper AoE2 sequel too :P
I forgot to mention but I'm also looking forward to the POSTAL Redux, sorta. I'm not exactly keen on some of the decisions they've made with it but I'm curious to see how it turns out since I'm a big fan of the original.
Any one which would allow one with a VR headset to look forward without stealing away the focus.
No Mans Sky Its pure exploration and generation and 80 quintillion possiblities, It has the potential to be fantastic

Shadow Warrior 2 Because its pure old school mayhem that looks like something from a dream

Cyberpunk 2077 The people that did The Witcher made a cyberpunk game based off a cyberpunk world that defines the entire genre... i have absolute and complete faith this will kick buckets of ass all over the place.

Dishonored 2 The first one is one of the best games i have ever played, and it was one of the few i beat multiple times just to experience it again.

Currently I'm looking forward to Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord.
Bit of a necro since I couldn't find the latest of these and there's no point of starting a new one...

So I just took a gander of PC Gamer's updated list, and it got me thinking what I'm really looking forward to. Without further ado:

Battletech
I loved the old FASA novels in my younger years, and I've always been interested in the tabletop game itself, but I never got the chance to actually playing it. The early gameplay footage that was shown is looking quite nice. I still have some trepidations about them using Unity (yet again), seeing how performance with it can be all over the place. Still, I definitely look forward to finding out more.

Day of Infamy (Steam-dependent)
I love Day of Defeat. It's one of my most played games - #1 in my Steam library, in fact - so getting an actual updated version of that formula on the robust underpinnings that defined the quite good Insurgency has me very excited. Most multiplayer games leave me cold, but this one looks like it might be a real winner if the early impressions of the EA are anything to go by. :)

At the Gates
This new take on the 4x formula has looked quite promising for some time. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a single update on its development in at least 10 months, and there has been word that things behind the scenes may not look that good. It would be a shame if it wasn't to see the light of day, so I'm really crossing my fingers for this one.

Planet Coaster (Steam-dependent)
Of all the upcoming theme park simulators this looks to be by far the most promising. Even the very early user videos were quite impressive. Now we'll just have to wait and see how well the actual game part will fare. That said, since it is being made by the devs of RCT3 I don't have a lot to worry about. Yet I have doubts whether my current PC will be up to the task of actually being able to handle it. =/

Transport Fever
AKA Train Fever: The Sequel. While I've quite enjoyed its originator this update looks like it may address most of the issues I've had with it, plus adding more transportation methods as well as adding more actual depth to some of the gameplay with the way industry will be handled. Don't let me down, Urban Games.

House of the Dying Sun
IMO, Enemy Starfighter was a much better and catchier name for this. Either way, it's looking top notch in its almost-complete EA phase. I'm crossing my fingers for a GOG release. To me it's the most impressive space-sim-action game I've seen of recent.

Honorable Mention (of games that are on my 'interested' list but just don't quite make it to the top):
Dishonored 2
Mount & Blade: Bannerlords
Battlefield 1

And system shock remaster.

I would also say the Vice City HD/GTA VI, but if it is going to be anything like V, it will need like 5 years to release and it is so going to be crappy inferior, not even to hold a candle, to the original Vice City and San Andreas, or the 3d era as a whole...
