If you have a 360/are not against console games you can get it used(game without expansion) for like 10 bucks in some stores/bins.

Settlers 4 - I think I should remove it since I'll most likely never buy it. It's a great game I know, but I don't imagine I want to make such a large time commitment to it. I recall the gameplay being incredibly slow.

Prehistorik. I'm willing to buy it for nostalgia but Interplay highjacking the price left a bitter note.

Lots, because I put everything on the wishlist that I'm remotely interested in, even when I know I probably wouldn't play and like it all that much. On GOG that includes games like 15 Days, Overclocked, Balrum, Goliath, Lost Sea, Lumo, Catacombs Pack, Don't Starve, Archimedean Dynasty etc.

The Witcher 3 as well, but that's only because it wouldn't run smoothly on my rig, otherwise I'd have bought it for 15 EUR.

There are many (like a dozen) but I don't recall for all of them why I even wishlisted them, I don't really recognize many of them. Maybe I just read someone praising the game on these forums, hence I wishlisted it, but when I looked at the gamecard, I was like "Huh? Do I really want this?". Hence I am hesitant to buy them even when they are on sale, and at the same time I don't dare to unlist them in case they really are gems I should be getting.

Prison Architect is one game I have there, and read lots of praise for it. Yet, I am unsure if it really is "my kind of game" and whether I'd really enjoy it. Like when I tried playing Theme Hospital, in the end I couldn't quite understand why I should keep playing it, it just didn't seem fun. Plus, I didn't quite understand what I was doing in the game, or what I was supposed to be doing there. Decorate rooms? Does it somehow affect the hospital's income if I put a window there and there and place the doctor's desk at that corner or that corner? What purpose do the plants have, should I add them too? Huh?

So I am thinking whether I'd end up with similar thoughts while playing Prison Architect. It is funny how I love RTS games, yet these "establishment management games" (including SimCity etc.) leave me cold.

The Messenger

- another platformer? No idea.
Tyranny - Gold Edition
- I distinctively recall someone praising this, I guess I am just waiting for a good price.
ADOM
- I used to love playing the free ASCII version of the game, so I guess I am just waiting for a sale.
Besiege:
- Again, I just recall someone praising this, without really knowing what kind of game it is. Some reviews are not quite as praising.
Unforeseen Incidents:
- Yep, someone praised it I guess. A bit hesitant as I feel I have mostly "grown out" of point and click adventure games. When I play one, I quite often just read a walkthrough to get past all illogical puzzles; I could just as well watch someone else play it.
Galactic Civilizations III
- I have the two first games so I guess I want this merely to complete the series. It has too many DLCs currently, maybe I wait for a Gold Edition, unless there is such already.
Prison Architect
- Praised by some, not sure if it is my kind of game though.
Planetbase
- Someone praised it, but the negative reviews give me second thoughts.

I stopped buying game "for later" but still keep them on my wishlist just in case the time come and get itch to play them...

The reason stuff stays on my wishlist is due to lack of money, a sizable backlog, or that I have other games in the series that I've yet to play, and with a backlog, I'd rather wait till I've played those before buying the sequels.

But I suppose the games that stay on my wishlist, gets added to my basket in times of a sale, and then removed before checkout are Nox, Divine Divinity and Civilization 3. I've never played a Civ game before, and I have no idea whether I'll enjoy Civ 3, plus I've seen some people say that it's better to start with Civ 4. Nox and Divine Divinity intrigue me, people have said they're good, but I prefer turn-based RPGs such as Fallout and Spiderweb games. I tried a little bit of Baldur's Gate, a copy I found in a charity shop, and I don't mind real time with pause either. I have some Ultima games, and I know Ultima 6 is turn-based but Ultima 7 isn't, so I'll probably wait until I've played that before getting either Nox or Divine Divinity.

It's only been in the last couple or so years that I've been playing RPGs, and ones that always get good reviews are Divinity: Original Sin 1 & 2. The games intrigue me, but I've been reluctant to add them to my wishlist. I have finally added the first game (that 46.9 GB download is really putting me off the second one), and I anticipate that will stay there for a good long time, while I catch up on all the RPGs I missed and get a better feel for the stuff I enjoy, although that is turning out to be turn-based isometric ones.

Same for me. I'm not sure it's the game for me, but at the same time I'm very curious to try it out since I love the management genre. I the closer I get to trying it, the closer I would get to trying out Rimworld instead. It's just the timesink with these games man, it's insane :P

Btw if you're ever in the mood for a shorter, but still long excellent management game - ever try Startopia?

Some games I really don't have time for. Maybe if they went nuts and sold it at a low price I might get them. Underrail. I think theres quite a few with great graphics like that series 2140, 2150. Its an RTS so I don't really play that.

Neverwinter Night 2 Complete on GOG, though i have it from GamersGate D&D Vollection it has French support here and i could do without my language packs. Waiting for a sweet 70% off.
AVGN 2 on Steam, this never goes on sale in years, i'm just waiting for half price.

At the moment I have +150 games in my wishlist and the reason why they keep sitting there is pretty simple... I'm doing my best to not buy any new games before I finish all the ones I already own.

In addition to that, a big part of my wishlist is filled with games games from my childhood but when I think about it I feel bad for wanting to replay the same thing instead of discovering new titles xD

Also I'm not going to lie but there is so many games to play this day that I don't feel like buying anything at full price. If a game I want isn't at least -70% I'll just wait the next summer / winter sales.

I'd agree with that. At this point, might as well.
Don't think you can compare Nox or DD with BG or Ultima. Nox and DD are ARPGs, with that clickfest combat style, and I'd say Nox is a pretty typical representative of the genre, albeit a reasonably well done one, while DD a... somewhat enhanced ARPG. I called it Diablo 2 done right, since it's that style of gameplay (bar companions, except summons if you use that), but they put effort into the world, giving you reasons to explore, stuff to discover, NPCs to actually want to talk to, some interesting quests too, plenty of humor that actually works, and loads of skills that you can make use of (all, or nearly all, spells can be trained with books, no need for skill points if you can wait, as they randomly appear in stores - prices will appear insane at first but they'll eventually be affordable as fast as you can find them if you're careful). I also don't do well in real time, action combat, reflexes, coordination, that sort of stuff, but nevertheless liked it (*ahem* unlike Diablo 2, blah), but If it's the action / real-time combat that's the main stumbling block for you, it may be a problem.

Several of the games that have been a long time on my wishlist are there due to me not wanting to pay much at all for a game I already have on disc.

My GOG wishlist gets scrubbed on a regular basis and only has 11 items at present. Of those, Albion is probably the only game left I'd probably hesitate on at any price. A few others are waiting for a windfall or deeper sales (Shadows:Awakening, Bards Tale 4)

Albion is one of those "want to play" but not sure I could ever find the time to invest, even backlog aside.

My Steam WL, on the other hand, is probably 60-80 items, and stuff does tend to linger in there long after it's fallen off my willingness to buy it, even cheap. Fanatical and HB lists are shorter, so it's more rare for things to end up there unless I'm actually thinking of buying something...eventually.
