I'm in the store but there is no filter "classic games" (like Star wars Racer).
There is not even a filter by "year of release". Can someone help ? (btw i'm looking for a plateformer).

PS : @dev, can you add those filter ?

Please define:
“Classic”
“Game”
And even “year of release”, bioshock versus bioshock enhanced for example.

Maybe post some information about what you are looking for, or consult a wiki page on it for instance one simple google:

I found a Hercules game, KOTOR2 too, those for me a "classic",
maybe 4star/5 + year of release before 2005 mean "classic" for me.

Year of release should be a range, and yes you wont have every version of a game, but that's not the point here.

You're looking for a specific platformer? Can you give us details about it?

Alphada: for me
So GOG should make a filter "for you"... hmm

They probably meant "to me" or something like that - not that hard to figure out. And yes, GOG store filters are barely adequate and could be much better.

Also it's kinda interesting how so many PC gamers can seemingly agree that pre-2005 is basically "classic" vs "not a classic".

I want to believe you do not regard Star Wars Racer as a classic game. I want to. /despair

As InkPanther said in Post 4, there are fixes and workarounds for what you want. Once can also probably find lists somewhere here that list such classic/older titles currently on GOG for each genre.

OP might have meant old classic games vs newer classic games.

I haven't seen (I assume you are referring to the movie) Footloose in decades (and I certainly haven't seen the remake), so I have completely missed the reference. (I'll stand up, maybe that will help?)

But, I will say, Samuel Clemens was a brilliant writer and social commentator; The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (Mark Twain, 1884) is a classic.

That it is. Sadly, some are trying to label him an evil vile rassist as with many other classic authors and media makers.

They don't get that it was a different time with different social norms(or they do not care), and like to apply current norms to everything they can find.

It wasn't about that. "Classic" is a very subjective thing. There's no official institute that issues Classic Game Certifications... so how is GOG supposed to implement that filter?

And yet you quoted "for me" and, from what little you wrote, it looked like were talking about that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And that also doesn't change the fact that store filters are inadequate, and even filter for release date would greatly help in searching for older titles. Which was something OP mentioned.
