USERNAME:Chaossaturn#Q&_^Q&Q#GROUP:4#Q&_^Q&Q#LINK:47#Q&_^Q&Q#To me GOGs foundation is its DRM Free principle and should be there number 1 priority. Sadly, there are a number of games on the store that have broken this principle and are not 100% DRM Free. Worse of all one of these games is Cyberpunk 2077 which is especially bad as it weakens their own argument that DRM is not needed.

This will hurt them when there try to get new game on the store and GOG says "it has to be DRM Free to be on are store" and there turn around and go but your own games are not even 100% DRM Free, why should we? You don’t even believe it yourself.

So, to regain my trust I would like to see them taking action against all the games that are not 100% DRM Free, start with saying there have to patch the games to be 100% DRM Free and if there don’t play ball, delist them from the store till there agree to GOGs foundation DRM Free principle.

There are also other issues I would like to see addressed but the main one is making sure the store is 100% truly DRM Free in offline installers.#Q&_^Q&Q#LINK:47#Q&_^Q&Q#

well some drm-s slow down the game less fps more loading times ,or those constant online ones just kick you out from the game if the server/net is crappy

Anakin-Skywalker: Let me know your thoughts
I have developed an easy five-step program for any gaming publisher, especially those named as CDPR, to fully redeem themselves:

1. Fix the bugs and missing content/features in Cyberpunk 2077 in the coming months. Especially the console versions. Offering a free upgrade for PS4/XBoxOne owners for the next-gen console versions was a good start (they did that, didn't they?).

2. Add the "Galaxy-only" pre-order single-player content also to the offline installer version, as a separate DLC installer file if needed.

3. Make new great games.

4. ???

5. Profit!

Oh, right.

So yeah, CDPR should not cover any titties or asses in CP2077 versions sold in Saudi-Arabia and Jemen. Or the Nintendo Switch version of the game, for that matter.

A game that doesn't have a remote kill-switch attached to it is obviously a better quality product for consumers that an identical game with a remote kill-switch attached. See the large number of SecuROM / StarForce / GFWL games whose quality fell to zero when they no longer even start up under W10 due to abandonment / OS level blocking of outdated DRM... Likewise, some DRM especially the virtualization based Denuvo / VMProtect stuff can absolutely degrade the core quality / performance of a game right from day one. See how even simple point & clicks like Syberia 3 abnormally long startup times (even on SSD's) fell from 47s (initial Denuvo version) to just 7s (Denuvo removed).

Do a barrel roll!

Release Devotion, keep it blocked in China alright.

Bugfix and optimize Cyberpunk 2077, first upcoming big expansion free of charge.
Ignore the minor shit-storm.

Every time GOG has officially weighed in on some controversy, they've only ever made things worse.
Release the whole Rake in Grass games lineup \:D/

Or just Jets and Guns 1 and 2. I'd be happy with that.

For me, a long-term GOG supporter who has gone from promoter to disappointed in the last two weeks:

Major:
- Release Devotion
- Apologise for the disingenuous reason given, and be open about the truth.

[Minor: - Remove any single-player DRM from single-player games, so that all the content is in the offline installers.]

[Minor: Stop pushing Galaxy. It's fine to have it for those that want it, but for people who don't want games locked behind an OS-dependent launcher, Galaxy development is a resource drain I'd rather see go elsewhere.]

On top of their dishonesty about Devotion, they have doubled down by not responding to the tens of thousands of comments and posts on it (further bad behaviour), and also removed comments about it when they can (and sent me a warning that they'd block my forum account if I raised Devotion again in any vague way they disagreed with.

I refunded my last order of four games (first refund ever), deleted my wishlist, and didn't buy anything in the sale. Won't ever buy another game here until they sort out the two Devotion-related issues. I have enough games here, Steam and Itch anyway. Half the time I just bought things to support GOG and the developers. But this has soured me so much that I will just work through my backlog or buy games on Itch in future. It's bizarre that GOG stuffed this up so badly, then didn't adopt the easy fix of apologising and doing the right thing. Whoever made the decision to cancel the game and lie about the reasons is probably high up enough not to get in trouble for it.
I want all of their management to eat half a lemon and half a marmalade orange at the same time, skin and all, whilst simultaneously slicing some large shallots and listening to Michael Bolton's cover of sittin' on the dock of the bay.

I believe that is the first integral step.

Now we've arrived at death wishes?

Maybe GOG should really turn off the forums, for a year or so. So people can get help treating their Corona cabin fever.

Not really a wish, but I mean, it's really the only rational choice after one has dishonoured oneself this much :D

pretty much
Everything is everything but I am sure that you are aware, that We are here on GOG.com forum and not on CDPR forum, these are two different companies doing two different things,

GOG.com is a Game Store and Client
this is a Welcome Page https://www.gog.com/about_gog
and General Forum https://www.gog.com/forum
and News page https://www.gog.com/news/winter_sale_on_gogcom_is_getting_bigger
and a Client https://www.gog.com/galaxy
you can see them here https://www.gog.com/work
and they are operating in Warsaw
and GOG.com has a White Red Bird as a symbol (I like it)

while

CDPR is a Game Studio
this is a Welcome Page https://en.cdprojektred.com/
own store https://eu.store.cdprojektred.com
forums
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?forums/the-witcher-series.22/
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?forums/gwent.23/
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/index.php?forums/cyberpunk.21/
own news https://en.cdprojektred.com/news/
and you can see them here https://en.cdprojektred.com/meet-the-rebels/
and they are operating in three different cities Warsaw, Cracow and Wroclaw
https://en.cdprojektred.com/our-locations/
and CDPR has a Red Red Bird as a symbol.

I do like CDPR with Red Bird for all the Witcher games and Cyberpunk(in a month lol),... as any other GameStudio creating games I like... really

still

A Gamestore GOG.com has not much to do with Game Studio CDPR production process and release dates, and any bugs and patches, what is more this Gamestore is not selling any other versions than PC (Windows, Mac, Linux).

They are both part of https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/capital-group/
fine

along with
https://spokko.com/
https://spokko.com/o-nas/ Mobile Games

I mean it is ok and everything, it is just GOG.com has biggest forum and I guess this is why most thx and fks for any CDPR activities are going right here, but I wanted to let you know...

Please correct me if I am wrong or mistyped anything but this is how I see it
