BreOl72: So, the story of a guy running into a cave system, thrashing everything and running back to town to sell stuff, only to go back again and start all over again?

Nah, I don't really see the appeal of that plot...for a movie/TV show. ;)

StarChan: Maybe it will be a 'dungeon of the week' type of show.
Something like Dungeons&Dragons, only grittier.

Lifthrasil: Diablo wouldn't work as movie or series, I think. Too little content. Too generic. It's just another 'hero bashes lots of mooks and then the big bad' story, like so many Steven Seagal movies.

Mr.Mumbles: There ain't nothing wrong with an entertaining popcorn action flick. ;)

Mr.Mumbles: Diablo: The High School Musical!

The Diablo Horror Picture Show!
Netflix did pretty well on their Castlevania series, so there is a possibility that Diablo series might be at least decent.

Maxvorstadt: The Diablo Horror Picture Show!
Now that you mention it...
My thought is they didn't completely fuck up Castlevania, but then Castlevania has story. Diablo has loot grinding.

What about "Diablo on Ice"? Everything went smoothly until the pyrotechnics cause the rink to melt.
Okay tell me how the hell that is going to work?

Waste of time and money that should have been used to make Diablo IV instead of giving the players a crappy mobile game they didn't want and a TV show they couldn't plug a keyboard/mouse/controller into.

Something I've learned over the last 15 years: Video games based on movies and TV shows are never better than mediocre, and TV/movies based on video games generally flop*.

* caveat: This only applies to TV and movies actually based on an existing video game. I've heard about extremely successful movies based on themes related to or borrowed from video games, but only if they are original content that isn't based on an existing game.

Blade Runner, UFO: Enemy Unknown and some TMNT beat'em'ups would like to have a word with you.

Resident Evil flopped so hard, that they made four sequels of it.</sarcasm>
