I like playing games and listening to podcasts at the same time, but I'm kinda running out, so I figured I could ask you guys for some podcast suggestions for me to listen to.

To avoid being entirely selfish, I could list a few of the ones I really like.

The Weekly Planet: Mr. Sunday Movies, the guy who made probably most of the easter egg videos and trailer breakdowns you've seen on Youtube, joins his friend to talk about comic book movies and major releases. It's mostly just palling around, it has a very light hearted tone. The video I linked is a good example, it's an excerpt from their discussion on the cancelled Batman vs. Superman movie from 2002, both interesting and funny.

The Drawfee Channel: This one is actually a video podcast, where the hosts take suggestions from the comments and make silly drawings based on them. It's pretty funny seeing how they react to people's outlandish suggestions, or in Wiki-Roulette, where they hit the random button in wikipedia and have to draw the result.

The Parapod: Two british comedians, one who's very interested in the supernatural and one who's a complete skeptic, discuss famous mysteries and hauntings. No offense to people who believe in ghosts, but the guy here really isn't very smart at all, and that's where a lot of the humor comes from. Feels very reminiscent of The Ricky Gervais Show with Karl Pinkington.

What Podcasts do you listen to?
Four Player Podcast (Network). Been watching them stream games and podcasts since way before nearly everyone else.
Hello Internet: the podcast co-hosted by two youtubers, CGP Grey and Brady Haran. "The podcast features discussions pertaining to their lives as professional content creators for YouTube, as well as their interests and annoyances. Typical topics include new gadgets, technology etiquette, workplace efficiency, wristwatches, plane accidents, vexillology, and the differences between Grey's and Haran's personal mannerisms."

Dan Carlin's Hardocre History: it's a podcast in which Carlin selects and focuses on a specific historical event and discusses it in his own way. Episodes may feel a bit like lectures but Carlin's charismatic and entertaining host. Episodes are released only a couple times a year, but they're damn long and worth waiting for.

In no particular order (and in contract to post 7), I prefer to focus on simpler entertainment or educational pods.

Back when Podcasts were called "Webcasts" and people still used modems, Retronauts is one of the elder pods. Covering a miriad array of video gaming history and minutia, and hosted by the legendary Jeremey Parish, a fairly velvet voiced man covering literally every game from the post-crash; onward.

Come on Fhqwhpods! is not for everyone. If you don't know who Strong Bad or Homestar Runner are, or Trogdor The Burninator, then you've probably got no freakin' idea what the heck this could be about.

The Best of Car Talk is the re-runs of a legendary (formerly radio) show. Featuring two wisecracking mechanics, who at the end of a call, will typically have you laughing and the caller's problem figured out.

The History Honeys are a married couple who teach each other about history. There's Grant, one half of Chip Cheezum and Ironicus, and his better half, Alaina. The Disney episodes often have shades of Defunctland, if you like that.

Podcast of Galactic Heroes is about a bunch of anime in a genre I don't even partake of. But the hosts are gut bustingly funny Goons so I'm going to suggest it purely out of the chance that you like their off the wall hosting.

Disk Only is a trainwreck of thought. Imagine if you take four hosts, and just have them talk about whatever streams into their minds at that exact moment for an hour. It's a lot like that.

What a Cartoon is a Cartoon history/review pod. If you wanted to know anything about any cartoon, these are likely your people. From the makers of Talking Simpsons!
History of Philosophy without any gaps

The British History Podcast
I always listen to Lore which is a podcast about all kinds of lore in the world and how they came to be etc and Red Web from Rooster Teeth, as I really enjoy the mixture of true crime, lore or other weird stories.
Freakonomics - it's a spin off from the two books and looks at the hidden economics to explain how the world really works. It's highly educational, although sometimes non-economists react badly to it as it doesn't always reflect their perceived worldview.
