Vythonaut: • Children of Men | 2006 | Alfonso Cuarón. One of the best movies I've watched; great atmosphere, cast & story.
  For fuck's sake YES
The camera's doing genius work here. Some of the action scenes are shot documentary-style, in brilliantly long takes. It's so intense.
There's no action in the book, by the way. It's just boring. :)
Barry_Woodward: Moonrise Kingdom (Wes Anderson, 2012)
  I absolutely loved Moonrise Kingdom.
 But IMHO Anderson's
The Grand Budapest Hotel was even better.
fronzelneekburm: Gran Torino (2008, Clint Eastwood)
A really great one, verily. That and
Million Dollar Baby (2004) really prove that there's more complexity to Eastwood's stances than you see in GOP conventions. :| Those two movies, highly recommended.
