Gears 5 was 11/10. Probably one of the best games Ive played in last 5 year and probably more. Man I just hope they could do Ryse with it's engine and style.

Ancient-Red-Dragon: There is no such thing as a 10/10 game.

Orkhepaj: not yet at least, all of them have some flaws
All games have flaws, but what makes a flaw a 'flaw' is how noticeable and in your face it is.
Given the above, from an individual perspective (since everyone is different), there can be 10 out of 10 games.
So rounded closer, or even far closer to 10/10 than 9/10?

Restricted obviously only to what I've actually played:

Strategy:
Dungeon Keeper
Warcraft 3
Dawn of War: Dark Crusade
Populous: The Beginning
Commandos 2
Disciples 2
Civilization 4

Platformer
Abe's Oddysee
Rayman Origins
Super Mario Bros 1
Prince of Persia 2
Terraria

Puzzle/Point-n-Click
Blade Runner
Grim Fandengo
Beneath a Steel Sky
World of Goo
The Incredible Machine
Island of Dr Brain
The Secret of Monkey Island 1

Management/Simulation
Caesar 3 and Pharaoh
OpenTTD
OpenRCT2
Dwarf Fortress
Kerbal Space Program
OpenXcom

RPG
Fallout 1&2
KotOR 1

First Person
Thief 2&3

Third Person
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Batman: Arkham City
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
Mount and Blade: Warband
Little Big Adventure

Jesus I've played way too many games in my life :P

JakobFel: - RuneScape
People have poked fun at RS for years now and I think it's partly because of the graphics of the older game and partly because people don't realize that this formerly browser-based MMO is one of the most incredibly open, free, sandbox-driven RPG experiences ever made. I also think part of the hate comes from its community which is notoriously toxic and whiny, hating any sort of change or modernization without even giving it a fair shot. It does tend to be very grindy as time goes on but I've spent more time in it than any other game with nearly 6000 hours on my main account alone. From its truly open and well-designed world to its epic, story-driven quests (all of which give you a true sense of adventure), RuneScape fully earns their slogan from a few years back: "Your greatest adventure." When I want to be a legendary hero, I can do that but I don't feel like I'm wasting my time when I just relax with friends, hang out in social hubs or play minigames.

Cambrey: I have only played RS for 6 months or so, but it was a very nice experience indeed. There are so many interesting and smart game mechanics. One little thing that I really got a kick out of is the fact that you unlock musics as you explore new regions/dungeons. Very amusing game.
It really is! I just wish more gamers would ignore the players' opinions and actually give the game a try because I've seen so many RPG fans saying they want to like MMOs but can't get past the boring questing, ridiculous PvE requirements, etc. RuneScape is an absolute blast of an RPG at all levels, in my opinion. It seems overwhelming due to its nearly 20 years of content but frankly, I feel like it has one of the better early game experiences in that it shows you some of the best content to do for your level but never locks you into any of it.
Warcraft III
Unreal Tournament 2004
Silent Hill 2
Vietcong
Tunnelers
at this point, I'd say:
- Planescape: Torment, hands down; I'd even give it 11/10;
- The Longest Journey; sadly, Ragnar & Co decided that it needs sequels;
- Steins;Gate (well... closer to 9/10, but hey);
- narcissu, the first one;
- Hellsinker.; I won't call it the best bullet hell ever... forget it. I WILL call it the best bullet hell ever;
- System Shock, again, the first one;
- Unreal Tournament 2004; yeah, not 99;
- The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match;
- Guilty Gear XX Accent Core + R;
- Vangers;
- and I was sure I've mentioned Alpha Centauri...
this list might (and surely will) grow longer with time.
