drealmer7: We just watched "Space Camp" !!! I hadn't seen it in a long long long time and it was the first time my partner had ever seen it. SO great!
I haven't heard that movie mentioned in a long time. I loved the movie as a kid. :)

I saw Inside Out over the weekend, since the Blu-Ray came out along with the new short they put in it. Was fun, and I still sobbed at that part (don't want to spoil if people haven't seen it yet). I have a feeling that part will get me every time.

Emachine9643: The Hive- Interesting idea for a virus, okay acting, liked the effects and makeup, meh for the storyline about love!

Up Next-
Contracted: girl has a one night stand and gets super sick.... is it herpes or the zombie virus?
What We Become: swedish film, family is stuck in a house while the outbreak is happening. having problems locating this film online.
I've seen Contracted, I thought it was good, well good enough.
Currently watching:
Alcatraz
Burn Notice
Lost Girl (at last season)
Falling Skies
Hannibal
Fry's Planet Word
QI

Just finished:
Almost Human
Constantine

Going to watch next:
Ash vs Evil Dead
Daredevil
Arrow
Flash
Supergirl
Gotham
Marathoning The Fast & The Furious movies. Up to 4 as we speak. Honestly the first couple of sequels were, they were never outright hateable.
Forgot to list what I was watching.

TV Series: Gotham, Arrow, House of Lies, Crossing Lines

Movies I've watched recently:
Harbinger Down: A "The Thing" wannabe, watch or rewatch "The Thing" instead.
Nazis At the Center of the Earth: Another "The Azylum" production. Bad for "The Azylum". Dominique Swain need a better agent.
R.I.P.D. : Did not hear anything good about it when it was in cinemas so I was pleasantly surprised. I think it's because of Ryan Reynolds, I like him but it seems like a lot of peoples don't.
I just watched episode eight of the first season of Gotham, it was a below average Gotham episode but that made me appreciate what a great series it is. The weird thing is that the fact that I did not like how the episode ended made me love the series even more.

It's going to be very hard to no binge watch the rest of the season, I'm not even half way through it and I can't wait for the next one to be on Netflix.

My wife's been watching it from the time the first episode aired. It's funny, she says it's not that good, but she watches it every week, so I think she really must like it. I've seen episodes here and there and I can take it or leave it. Some interesting characters but I don't find it compelling enough to tune in and follow it faithfully.

*edit* Oh, and to keep on topic: I picked up season one of True Detective. Watched the first couple episodes and like it enough that I'll probably keep on with it. Not really a big tv fan, so I usually grab seasons of tv on disc to give them a go. If I don't like them I give them away. This one, as noted, seems pretty good though.

Hey, it's Friday the 13th!

So... time for a day long Jason marathon!
We've recently been making our way through Picket Fences, a show I watched when it was originally on TV and have not watched since. It is really really good! Probably my favorite David E. Kelly show.

We've also finally been making our way through X-Files. This is one of the most over-rated shows of all time (Breaking Bad might take the cake for most over-rated ever, in general, though shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead are huge POS that I can't understand how they get any praise, other than the viewers being mentally defunct.) We painfully made it into season 9 and of the entire previous 8 years, there were probably 6 actually good episodes IN TOTAL, and the rest range from super-crap to mediocre at best. Cris Carter can't write for shiiit.

Another throwback we've been watching is Alien Nation, which I also watched when it originally aired. Good show.

Re-watched The Crying Game recently as well. This is the 3rd time I've seen it (first time being 17 years ago), and it has gotten better every time.

Man on Fire

paused currently for food-making

probably the best performance I've seen Denzel give (I don't like his acting in a lot of things though.)
^We can both agree on Man on Fire.

"Okay, my friend. It's off to the next life for you. I guarantee you, you won't be lonely."

I also always have quite a bit of fun with Deja Vu. And of course American Gangster is great. Out of Time is fun. The Manchurian Candidate, The Book of Eli, Taking of Pelam 123 remake, Flight and Training Day. :) The Bone Collector based on the book. :)

I watched Ant Man last night. I know nothing of the comic but the movie was ok, not great but ok. I got the feeling that some important parts were cut out to make it fit within 2 hours.
