Lou: What do you think of the Rapture / Riders on the Storm Mix?

tinyE: It took me a second to register what you were talking about. My best of is from 1990. I actually burned it from a friend of mine (don't tell). I had to look up the ROTS remix to find it and see it's on the newest compilation. I havn't even heard it.
It was included on the Blondie Greatest Hits Sound and Vision CD / DVD Compilation

Far out, thanks. I'll give it a listen.
Ummmm yeah.
I love the Doors and I love Blondie but that was kind of hideous. One of the reasons I love ROTS is its slow bluesy feel to it, and that kind of gets lost with the hip hop beat of Rapture. The same can be said in reverse. The funky Rapture kind of gets ruined by Jim's slow morose tone over it.

We picked up Rick Springfield's "Working Class Dog" CD at the used disk store last weekend. Checking it out for the first time now. Simple 80's guitar rock, with some recognizable classics such as:

The people at the Christmas party downstairs.
Crash it!

HereForTheBeer: Crash it!
I can't. It's MY party. Kind of. I run a B&B with my folks, think Bonanza without the horses, Every year we have this Christmas bash, but I'm petrified of any room that has more than 4 people in it so every year I barricade myself upstairs. Incidentally that is why I will be lounging around this forum all night, sorry.

Funny fact. The town we live is has a year round population of 44, yet we average 250 people every year at this party. They must warp in from another demension.
