My parents never forbid me to play any video game, and the same goes for movies; my sister and I would always rent horror films when we were kids, it was our favorite genre, so we grew up watching the Friday 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street films as well as other 80s slashers, and it didn't matter how bloody, how violent or if it had nudity or foul language, we were allowed to watch it. :D
My parents were pretty liberal about my gaming and viewing habits. That and there really weren't inappropriate Nintendo games in the 80's and I had no access to a computer for games like Softporn Adventure or anything else that would have been seen as inappropriate for children.
Custer's Revenge for the Atari 2600. Of course I was 12 when it came out so I didn't really have any expectations of actually playing it anyway.
I was able to play most M rated based games when I was younger. Hell I was a young Teen playing Starcraft back when it received an M rating. I also Played Duke Nukem 3D. Yet the only game that came to mind that I wasn't allowed to play at fist when I first got the game was Phantasmagoria which celebrated its 25th anniversary because the game had a sexual scene in it which involved possible Rape. It wasn't until 2003 that I was able to play it. So the forbid was only for while and not forever. Hell I was able to play MK II back when it was new.

borisburke: What’s to forbid when the most violent/sexy game you can play is monochrome space invaders in an arcade?...
Hey - don't underestimate the sex appeal of Space Invaders!

Haven't you noticed how those invaders keep crossing and uncrossing their legs as they march across the screen?

Because they are so very sexy...
Well I'm 33 so I would be surprised if they decided to come round and tell me not to play a specific game... But as for when I was younger, I remember in high-school my mum didn't want me to buy Starcraft Brood War because she thought it was some weird horror game because of infested Kerrigan on the cover.
I was born in '86 and I grew up with a Genesis. My parents didn't (and still don't) see video games in the same way they saw moves; that they can have explicit content that kids shouldn't be exposed to. The goriest game I had was MK3.
Well i certainly can't think of any games my parents blacklisted... Since i remember there being rented Mortal Kombat, and when i bought a SNES (used) I got Street Fighter and Killer Instinct, along with other games. Then we had Diablo, Diablo 2, and my brother played Rainbox Six.

Then we had death patches on multiple computers using Doom or Duke Nukem with mods for new maps.

Though she did comment nearly all our entertainment had violence (of one sort or another) in it. Very few kid-friendly or non-violent games.

Though i DO remember getting nightmares from playing the Alone in the Dark demo (I was 12 at the time, so yeah...)
All of them. My parents were quite techniphobe and forbade computers of all kinds in our household. So I had to play at friend's places or at school.
