Toodee & Topdee do essentially save "the world" in a sense. Similarly to fez even. But the job is between two players whose presence change the aspect of the game itself. Which...if you're that tired of it might not even work but it does, at least to me, make a significant difference.

And it is not even a clever lie. A visit to any of the many webistes that cover the movie business would show how big al ie that is.
Maybe he meant that FF did not do Avengers/Spidey level business. which is true. But very few CBM do that nowdays.
FF was a solid hit for Marvel, and they are happy with the results.

Seem like it will not even hit 500 million box office. If the reported 200+ million dollar budget is true, that plus marketing will have gobbled up most of it. And it comes up exactly to the unwritten rule of "has to make x2.5 its budget to break even". Though it's true that big budget movies even breaking even could be considered a success these days.

It did not bomb, nor was it a hit (financials-wise). The numbers are pretty clear here. Though it depends on your definition of what a "hit" is of course.
