It´s called True Faith by Lotte Kestner. It´s part of the soundtrack of The Last of Us 2.
I didn't listen to it completely (I became bored listening to it), but to my taste it seems too slow, flat, bland and hippie. The kind of music that makes me sleepy.

However, this song is more like it!

EDIT: Also, Mrs. Elon Musk has also made at least one good song apparently. This would be a great title song for System Shock 3:

Are you aware that it's a cover of an old New Order song?

Thanks, I knew I had heard it before but couldn’t place it. The cover is ok.

I suppose we now have 6 months of the hype train that is last of us 2, played the first one and really don’t get it. Oh look I have to creep around another room full weird zombie creatures and hope they don’t hear me, how cool is this. Now god of war, that was a good game, with a good story. No emo teenage angst ridden sexually unsure, trying to please everyone, oooo look at the nasty zombies crap. It’s probably the game which switched off the PS4 for me and most definately will put me off getting a ps5 (although bloodbourne would be another, oh look I died, and died again, and again, and again, now I am in a hub with no idea what to do, perhaps I will die, and again, and again, this is fun).

Sorry /moderndaygamingrant.

I don't know about you, but I kinda love the "morose, slow covers". Usually they are to be found in movie trailers, and almost every time I hear one it's just hilarious to me.
It's alright,
Not bad, but not my thing.

I liked the cover of Black Hole Sun that plays over the credits of A Walk Among the Tombstones.

On the topic of covers that take the original arrangment into a (wildly) different direction this has been stuck in my head for quite a while now:

About covers, I recall when I gave a lift to a guy who was training Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu in the same club as me, heard The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" on my car stereo.

He went like "Have you heard the original version of this?". I presume he was referring to the Limp Bizkit version, but I instantly replied with a "This IS the original version!" and he was like "oh" and I was like "yea" and he was like "...".

Ha! And he was supposed to be some kind of musician too, a drummer in some wannabe band, yet he didn't recognize The Who. He heard some some other songs in the car radio too like "Won't Get Fooled Again" and was delighted specifically about the drummer in that song:

Yeah yeah everyone knows that from CSI TV show...

The song is fine. Wish it was part of a better game (although I thought that with the RDR2 soundtrack as well)

Sorry for the aside...

Well, IMO the hype train for TLOU2 is going to be short-lived.

There are certainly some good aspects to the game (for a "movie game," it is technically well-crafted and polished), but in so many ways it's far worse than the first -- certainly in story. I've rarely seen a sequel that so gleefully deconstructs everything loved about the first.

Ah, the memories. As a very small boy I used to watch the video on MTV over and over again. Haven´t recognized it at first. To be honest, I like Kestner´s version a bit more. She puts more feeling in her voice.

This is a cover of an old folk song: In the Pines. It was used in Walking Dead (which I haven't played).
