What's Got Into GOG?
No Father's Day Specials.

I felt sure I would logon today, and see Turok 2 on special ... just had a feeling.
Well, we all know, that feelings can sometimes be wrong ... and that surely happened today. :(

Still, I really thought there would be something special on offer for Fathers.

Anyway, thank you GOG for all the specials of late ... you sure know how to empty my wallet.
I don't know what the record is for games bought in a 3 to 4 month period, but surely I am in the Top 100.
Over 200 games since signing up in May.
Only played a couple so far. LOL.

But while I was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek, GOG is an International Store ... so GOG should have given me and fellow Aussies something special today .... but not the rest of you Aliens ... wait for your own Father's Day. :P

P.S. Father's Day is a special day for Gamers. It is predominantly fathers that have been battling the hordes since pixels were invented. If it wasn't for us, you'd all be living underground in Silos. I personally killed Quake many years ago, and gave a good hand with Doom and Duked many others ... a true Shadow Warrior am I ... though sometimes seen by the naive as a Redneck on the Rampage, out for Blood.

To GIG someone, is to joke them or stir them. Gigging someone on, is like telling a tall story. Having a lend of someone. An attempt at tricking them into believing something ... in a friendly manner. Well like they say (some of us anyway), the GIG is up .... meaning the lie or falsity has been unmasked.

I blame lack of stress today and nice sunshine ... easy to get drunk on those.

Or perhaps I was suffering shock from the notion that many stores milk every opportunity, far beyond the pale, but GOG didn't in this instance ... I guess that is pleasantly refreshing in a world where many stores etc just won't leave you alone ... but the surprise was not one I am used to anymore ... so i was disturbed enough to voice about it ... clearly I was traumatized.

Talking about SiN Episodes. When is GOG going to give me a replacement for my Steam version, that I have on a bought disc I paid for, but don't own, as I can only use it by the benevolence of Steam? Hell, I am happy to re-buy it from GOG, like many of my other games ... just so I can spend more time in DRM Free Land .... a wonderful place. :P

And since Half-Life was also mentioned, I'd ask for replacements for all them games .... but I realize one must be realistic in this world ... and not all things can be solved by a Shotgun or other firepower. ;)
