ssling: I suspect many people will be pissed (discount price was historical low on all platforms).

Wottie: I wouldn't exactly say I'm peed, as I've crossed out about 17 items off my wishlist in this sale (and only one on "the other platform" Summer Sale so far), but as I'm a marketing professional, it brought a sad sigh out of me, in the "Good intentions... way to hell..." way, out of me. Yeah, I bought Virtuaverse at the beginning of the sale. Leaves a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Is it sooo difficult to make a deal with the developer that if you do a giveaway (which is paid to the developer, by the way), you don't discount it during the same event? Or does GOG want everyone to wait for the last moment of a sale to be sure that what they're buying is the best deal on the item?

ssling: Freebie-wise this is possibly best sale ever for me.

Wottie: Having hoarded 900+ games on GOG so far, I wouldn't say that, as I only didn't have one of the giveaways in my library, but I got rid of a bit of my wishlist thanks to the Insomnia deals. A good sale all in all - so it's all the more a pity that it leaves that bitter aftertaste, especially with the _last_ giveaway.
Same thing here. I bought VirtuaVerse just a few days ago, and now they give it for free... They should have not discounted the game, if they were planning to give it away...

Just my 2 cents.

GOG.com: ...
thanks for the final freebie, GOG and Theta Division / Blood Music!
Thank you for the free game .
Great freebie! Thanks!
And thanks, once more, for yet another giveaway! I think this is the time that I've received the most giveaways in such a short span of time while I've been here on GOG. So yeah, thanks again.

;]

I just think that it kind of sucked that only one of the bloody six giveaways was of interest to me, which was Flashback lol. -.-
Another game that was on my wishlist, thank you very much. Only 2 that I already had owned out of 5, 3 out of 5 wishlisted. It's the best streak of luck in 10 years. Thank you very much again.
Thanks GOG!
No need to be bitter if you just purchased it, just click the refund button under the game in "orders and settings", select "game is now cheaper/on sale" from the refund reason and enjoy the free game (at least wallet refunds usually happen very quickly but other refunds can take a bit, hopefully you can get a gift code meanwhile).

Thanks for all the giveaways GOG! I wasn't that fond of the demo (not into point and click adventures with bizarre puzzles), but the music is great and the developer is a musician with a bunch of other nice music as well if you like it. Also, if you follow MBR on Bandcamp and scroll the news down to April 28, 2021 there is a link to a download with a bunch of covers of game music. Some of it (maybe all?) is on Soundcloud as well.

Another game with 120x80 pixels resolution (barely an exaggeration), no thanks. I have 2000 of those from before.

Great for those who want it, obviously. I've started to only get games I actually want to play, or have an inkling to play, so even free games I will pass up these days. Makes for a more realistic backlog, and easier to handle in practice.
Oh, hey. I guess 1 out of 5 success rate is better than nothing. ;) Thanks, GOG.
Must of slept through the sale in the States. -.-
Sweet, thank you very much, GOG & Theta Division / Blood Music! :)
Thamks for another great freebie.
Thanks GOG and Theta Division for this point&click game. I like the pixel art style, great atmosphere! ^_^
