Up to 75% off Bastion, Gabriel Knight, Torchlight and more.

You know how they say that half the taste is in the smell? Well, we think that half the game is in the sound. That's why this week on Weekly Staff Picks, we're featuring Supreme Sound - games that just wouldn't be the same on mute. That's six games from 50% to 75% off - listen up:

VVVVV and Super Hexagon are a chiptune thunderdome, the good kind - with thick, growling lows and piercing highs that put you in a breakneck trance. Go. Repeat. Go. Repeat! Latin music? Like a shot of adrenaline, Total Overdose redefines it. It's a mix of bass-heavy rock sounds, rhythmic Hip Hop, and fight music straight off the streets of Mexico City. Then there are Bastion's sounds and sights: Logan Cunningham's serene narration laid over electronic beats, folk strings, overdriven guitars, and far-east influences produce an energetic ambiance that just has to be heard. In this week's promo, you'll also hear Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers - 20th Anniversary Edition's completely re-recorded cult score, and Torchlight's eerie backdrop (by Diablo's Matt Uelmen) that call you ever deeper into the infinite dungeon.

Weekly Staff Picks: Supreme Sound is a selection of games that would never be complete without a talented team of sound-designers, and a nice pair of headphones. The promo will last until Thursday, April 9, at 9:59 AM GMT.
Nice way of promoting games - sounds is important for me and on Audioengine 2.1 most games sound really good.

ne_zavarj: Are Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers - 20th Anniversary Edition and Total Overdose worth to buy ?
At that price Total Overdose is a must. I say that because while it's fun as hell it's also shallow and short which is why it's a great buy right now. You wouldn't want to pay $20 for it though. :D
Good promo.
Excellent, I own all except for that VVVVV game and it looks like a platformer jumper type and those generally don't interest me. All good credit card is not so great this month anyway.

So I win when there are good specials and I win when I own most of the games. I feel lucky today.
Where's the Prunty?!? :D

I've been curious about Bastion for a while, so at the very least I'll pick that up.

With Total Overdose, fun and bugs come in roughly equal quantities: an awful lot!
It’s totally worth the pick at that price.
Come and check me show off Total Overdose today on twitch.tv/gogcom @ 22:00 CEST / 20:00 GMT!

Leroux: How can this promo NOT include Hotline Miami?! :D
Agreed!

I own it from here already, but for the sale concept, it defines Supreme Sound. Although Super Hexagon's 3 tracks are freakin amazing.
Just once again want to mention - No Linux port for Bastion. I fine with its absence (thank to Humble), but still kinda strange.
BTW, is TOTAL OVERDOSE worth it? Hexagon looks way too hardcore for me...

Nice Staff Picks, I grabbed Bastion, thanks!
I'd like to get Gabriel Knight, but I'm not buying it until it's cheaper than the original version.
Looking into Bastion to see if it's something I'd like, I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugYYUdDSPaw

Any idea if we'll be getting the soundtrack to Bastion at some point? Or an option to get?

that would be more then 75% off, dont think that will happen soon....

the original is 5.49 if i am correct

dont think that the remake will go belowe 4 bucks soon

at 8 or 9.9 bucks its a decent game.

At this price it is a bargain you shouldn’t miss.
It’s as fun as it’s buggy, and there are quite a lot of bugs ;)
By the way i think that putting Torchlight on sale at same time second one is in Humble Bundle IS clever idea.
