Cute sale ;-)

A reminder that the list is not an exhaustive list of all cute games for sale here at GOG.com, just a list of cute games on sale.

Totally unrelated: I misspelled cute three times. I guess that is a hint that I should let my neighbours listen to some of The Cure's music.

Just a heads-up from the newsletter regarding Ori having a shorter discount period than the other titles in the sale:
"50% discount on Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is valid until May 27th, 2020, 1 PM UTC"
Good work GOG at leaving the most appealing sale for right before the big sale :(. I tried to resist but $1.50 for Wuppo seems great if the reviews are accurate (sounds like it didn't work at first but has been fixed). Luckily the mobile games are easy to reist and I already have most of the ones I'd be interested in. I'd get Ori but I am having enough difficulty with Hollow Knight and I'm worried I won't be able to get far. Some day I'll get Gato Roboto and Semblance.

Of the ones I've played I would highly recommend Little Bug, Gurumin, and Costume Quest. Unholy Heights is fairly good for a mobile game but note that the building and submenus you see in the screenshots are all that you get (unless there is something else well into the game that I never got to) and I'd consider this sale price more like what normal price should be. I generally enjoyed Spore, Anodyne, and Ghost of a Tale. Yooka-Laylee has some decent stuff to do but the "story" feels more like contempt for the player to me and puts me off playing much of that one at a time (Anodyne is a bit like that too). I'd recommend against Seasons After Fall and Figment.

Little Misfortune is... great. But it's actually pretty dark. It's set in the same world as Fran Bow and deals with topics of death and suicide, so, as cute as it looks on the screenshots - not for kids.
I am going to sound really mean but cute games are totally not on my radar... Unless they're cute in the same way Sam & Max is cute, so not really cute but cute graphics.

Still, thanks for the sale GOG!
